"She's awake."
"No, she's not dumbass."
"I saw her twitch."
These voices woke you up, from what felt like a deep slumber. You opened your eyes, processing your situation. You were in a small, dark, and grotty room. There was a broken chair at one corner, and a few wooden planks here and there. Most of all, two men were standing right before you. You realized you were tied up to a chair as well. Of course, you were captured by these damn criminals. You were scared, you had to admit. This was nothing compared to when Tom and Aiden kidnapped you. You made eye contact with one of the men; he stood tall and had bushy brown hair, with a drunken look on his face.
"Well, well, well, look who we have here." He spoke.
The other man had black long hair, and looked like it was full of grease. He bent down near your face and smirked.
"Levi won't be able to let this one go, am I right Daniel."'
The brunette, apparently Daniel, replied with a smirk. "No, no man could leave this. Let's go Ron."
Ron lifted your chin, and got a good look at your face. "Man, if only our fate turned out like his."
You jolted your face back, escaping his grasp. It looks like they knew about Levi. How? You had no time to think about this right now, you had to escape. You decided to stay low for a while. It didn't look like they were going to kill you yet. You could use this opportunity to get information.
Ron, untied your hands from the back of the chair while Daniel untied your legs. You acted helpless and weak, pretending you were dizzy.
"Oi, you'll need to be awake while you talk to Boss." Daniel slapped your head from the side, which made you angry. You kept your cool and went along with them. Both of them were on the either side of you and grabbed you from your arms, walking outside of the room. Turns out, you were in some bar. Nobody seemed to care about the men dragging you out, which caused your stomach to ache. Is this really the norm here? You looked down at your feet as you were dragged to another empty room. This one had stairs to go down, and was had locks on the door. This had to be their headquarters or whatever. As you entered the room below, 5 other men stood there, all holding hand guns. They stared at you, some snickering. There was another man there as well, but he had his back turned to you. Suddenly, Ron and Daniel dropped you, and you fell to the hard ground with a loud thump. Ow, that hurt.
You rubbed your head as you looked around at all the men staring down at you. You were petrified, disgusted and lost. What could you do now. All their fancy weapons were displayed on the wall hooks, plus the ones in their hands already. The man with his back turned, finally faced you. He looked young, maybe in his 20s. He walked up to you, without any change in expression, he spoke.
"Are you sure she's enough?" He questioned.
"Yes sir, we saw them in the trap house, together. More than friends I'm guessing." Daniel answered.
You were furious, who was he to talk about you and Levi like that. That means it was in fact a trap; but only you were caught.
The 'boss" you guessed, nodded his head.
"He should be here any moment then, am I right miss?"
You couldn't stay quiet any longer.
"What do you want from him." You blurted, sternly.
"Hm, just his life."
You widened your eyes, and stood up. "Why? Why take random people's life for no reason? Especially when they're innocent."
Ron jolted forward to grab you, but the boss motioned him to move back.
"Let me talk to her." He said confidently. He trailed his finger down his gun, and spoke.
"Well, if you're talking about that family we killed, that was to get attention from the corps; especially Levi. And lady, that man is anything but innocent."
You took a step forward. "You know nothing about him."
He smirked. "Really? What if I told you he was one of us. Hm?"
You raised a brow. "Never."
"Well, if you ever get a chance to see him again, ask him about the scar on his right shoulder. It should be a big one; easy to spot. That was caused when he fought one of our victims. An axe mark is easy to spot, not like his other titan ones. Actually, if he trusts you enough, you won't even need the scar as evidence; he will just confess."
You had no idea what this man was talking about, you knew Levi was a thug, but there was no way he could have been with people like this.
"I don't think you know him. He won't come here helpless. He could kill all of you. in an instant." You snarled.
"Oh we know. Humanity's strongest or whatever crap they call him. Don't you worry, we have something specifically made for him, and you are what will help us kill him."
Your barrier broke, you felt helpless and scared. This was your fault. You came along and now Levi will be in danger. These people had unexpected weaponry and who knows how far these people could go.
"Please, do whatever you want to me but leave him, please. You don't even know how important he is to our fight against the titans."
"Hm, titans. I never understood why you guys chase them. If you leave them alone, they'll leave you too. That's what Levi should have done with us. But you know what woman, he killed my father."
There was a deep silence in the room. It all made sense now. Revenge overflowed this man and he let his emotions take over. Before you could reply, a man barged into the door, with him right beside him. Levi.
You saw his hands were handcuffed, and looked like he came willingly. He froze when he saw you, his expression dropped; he was his real self for a moment. You met eyes with him and snapped out of it when you realized the man behind him holding a syringe.
"LEVI MOVE-"
Before Levi could react, the man poked the syringe inside Levi's neck. He froze. You could see it, something changed. The Boss, walked towards Levi and you were held back by three men. Something was wrong. The man spoke again.
"What's better than mental torture before physical? I'm sure he won't even want to live after realizing he killed you with his own hands."
You screamed. "What the fuck are you talking about you psychopath."
"This."
The men moved away from you, and you were confused. The boss pointed at you and then Levi took a step forward. They did something to him; he wasn't himself.
You stood up against the wall behind you, terrified. Was he going to kill you? Levi froze for a second, and the man handed him a gun. He loaded it and then pointed it at you. This was it. Your final moments, there was no getting out of this. Any risk of movement he would shoot. He was close to your face now. You accepted your fate.
You held the gun to your forehead. Tears, lots of them, you sobbed. This wasn't how it was supposed to end. You looked into his eyes; gray with the hint of blue. He usually had a expressionless face but this one was just blank, like he was looking at a stranger. They had somehow taken control of him and you couldn't think of anything worse. Where was Erwin and Mike? What if the worst had happened to them?
Suddenly, you saw his eyes glisten, a tear. A tear rolled down his cheek. He was still in there, he was.
The boss spoke. "Levi, kill."
And that was it.
