Trust (Levi x reader)

chapter 3

Everyone went back to their rooms, but Hanji followed you to yours.

"y/n, you probably got the news of being Levi's assistant or whatever, and I wanted to tell you that Levi doesn't want anyone knowing you're helping with this sleep or stuff, is that okay?'

"Yes, of course, Erwin has trusted me with this, and I will make sure to respect the Captain."

"Yay, thank you y/n you're the best! Now get some sleep you have training tomorrow!"

Hanji hugged you tightly and skipped away. you plop yourself on the bed after changing and sleep.

The next morning

You wake up early as usual, and quickly change and eat some breakfast. Not many other cadets were awake. You quickly ran outside to the courtyard to meet Erwin, Captain Levi, and Hanji. You saluted the Commander. He spoke.

"Good morning y/n, hopefully, you rested well."

"Yes sir"

"Now, y/n we're assuming you have no fighting or 3DMG gear experience right?"

Now you could tell them.

"Uh actually sir I know how to use 3DMG gear, and martial arts".

All three of them were surprised. Erwin spoke.

"Really? how so?"

You smiled.

"I'd like to show you first sir."

Hanji was super excited, and Captain Levi raised a brow in curiosity. Hm a doctor that knows how to use titan fighting gear, how bizarre, Levi thought.

Hanji handed you the 3dmgand you swiftly put it on, familiar with wearing the gear. They were all stunned at how fast you put it on. Hanji turned to you.

"Okay y/n if you're confident in your abilities, The training is easy, just glide through the forest and try to slice the cardboard fake titans' napes, got it?"

You nodded, and then readied your position.

"Ready, Go!", commanded Erwin.

You leaped into the air, hooking your hooks onto the tree branch. You spot the first titan, and easily slice off its nape. You already knew that they would put moving titans, because your dad told you, so you were prepared. You were soaring fast, and easily cut off,3, no 4? Maybe even 7 napes. After you reached the end, you soared back to Erwin, Hanji and Captain. You expected their reactions. Hanji was full-on stunned, her mouth was wide open and she looked excited, Erwin had his mouth slightly open and looked very pleased, Captain, on the other hand, had the same expression, but it was a bit different, I impressed him didn't I, you thought to yourself smirking.

Hanji started."y/n, I'm speechless, h-how and when did you learn this? There is no way you were self-taught!". She looked at Levi. He rolled his eyes.

Erwin spoke. "y/n that was incredible, we didn't expect that you might even be top ten in the ranks if you were a survey corps soldier!"

You smiled at his compliment.

Captain Levi walked over to you.

"You wanna explain y/n".

He's a curious man. You thought.

You started. "My dad was a survey corps soldier, ever since I was young he taught me how to fight and use 3DMG gear,". You stopped there, you didn't want to say more.

Hanji squealed. "y/n why didn't you join the corps? Your skills are insane!".

You looked down. "My mom didn't want me to, since my dad was already in."

Erwin softened his eyes. "y/n what was your dad's name?"

You smiled. "Dannes Hoover".

Erwin smiled. "He was great y/n, you're just like him".

That made you smile.

Levi and Hanji realized he had died, and it was silent.

Hanji spoke. "He taught you well y/n, and he's probably so proud of you right now".

You missed him, you were about to shed a tear, but quickly wiped your face. Crying won't make a difference you thought.

Erwin started to speak.

"Very well y/n, seems that's enough gear training, now we need to test your hand to hand combat, I'm guessing your dad taught you martial arts too?"

You nodded in agreement.

The Captain called out to his squad, and you were confused.

All 4 of them were standing there happy to see you.

Captain Levi spoke.

"All of you will be fighting with y/n today, to test her hand to hand combat, got it?"

All of them look confused. They all thought them fighting y/n would be unfair, since she's inexperienced. Oh boy, little did they know.

"Well if it's a fight she wants, it's a fight she'll get. Remember y/n, we won't go easy on you".  Oluo walked towards you.

You both got in position, and your dad always taught you to let the opponent attack first, to figure out if they were an attacker or defender type of fighter. Oluo, being confident swang the first punch. He is clearly the attacker type of fighter, you thought. You quickly dodged and went for his legs, because in this situation he would predict you to swing a kick or punch. You were taught to always make a move that they wouldn't expect. After dodging almost all his hits, you easily tackled him to the ground, making him lose his breath. He was done for.

"O-o-okay u,, win argh let me goo". Cried Oluo.

You smiled and got up.

Petra smirked at you. "You surely can't beat all of us can you, we're the Levi squad remember". She walked toward you and waited for you to make a move. Clearly, she wasn't going to make the first move, so you did a fake attack to her face, but went for her stomach instead, this tricked her and so you easily kneed her in the ribs 3 times before she grabbed your wrist and pulled you to the ground, she was fast. You wrapped your legs around her waist and covered her face while choking her, she tumbled to the ground and you kicked her on the side a few times, and she gave up.

You were exhausted.

"Oi, oi oi, you haven't even fought the real members yet!". Eld looked at you. He was taller than everyone and you weren't sure if you could beat him. You were up for the challenge, and you already beat two members of the Levi Squad, so you were pretty pleased, and by the looks of it Hanji and Erwin were too. The captain was unphased, but he squinted his eyes a bit more. Maybe he was thinking you probably won't be able to beat Eld.

You got up and attacked Eld unexpectedly, you usually didn't strike first, but you needed to get the upper hand on this man, you threw a few kicks and when he was under you, you made sure to knee his stomach and bruise his face so he could become weaker. Because of your small size, he easily flipped you over and kicked you in the ribs a few times. Damn that hurt. You used your leg to strike his ankles where he could fall, but he predicted the move and used your legs to throw you to the ground. Then, you charged him head-on and held his arms behind his back and easily pinned him to the ground, this was an unexpected move, and you made sure you dug your nails deep into his skin so he wouldn't get up. Finally, his muscles relaxed and he gave up. You won again. Gunther left a while ago to do something for the other squad, so you were done. Until you heard a deep voice.
