The injection had an obnoxiously large needle which caused a sudden blood flow from the spot you injected it. It looked like nothing else was to be extracted so you removed the needle as Hange immediately held a thick cotton pad over the spot. You felt anxious as the blood kept gushing, and you all saw Levi fighting to keep his eyes open.

He wasn't facing blood loss, no. He didn't have any symptoms. You decided to let him close his eyes and wait till you all could see the difference in his behaviour. It would be fine.

You put your hand over his eyelids and shut them lightly. He was still breathing normally and his blood had stopped flowing from the needle shot.

Hange wiped the sweat from her forehead as she wrapped a bandage on Levi's shoulder. He seemed fast asleep, and a bit more relaxed than before. His eyebrows had resteneed, and so did his position. You stared at him for a bit, forgetting that everyone was around you. Erwin put his hand on your shoulder.

"He will be fine, he is the strongest isn't he?"

You smiled as you wiped a tear, when will the day come where you didn't have to worry about your loved ones dying every day? That was the world for you; cruel but beautiful.

Mike and Petra left the room, picking up some of the items that need to be disposed. Hange examined the injection tube, and the liquid in it.

"How did those thugs achieve this? We need to organize a research team. Oh wait, I am the research team!"

You and Erwin chuckled, Hange will always be Hange. You handed Hange the other needle as well, and she left the room, in fear that the liquid might evaporate. Erwin had followed behind her, leaving you in the room alone with Levi. You got up and ate a steamed potato that Petra had left for you. You were still weak but you knew how to get your energy up.

The infirmary was a mess, so you decided to clean it for Levi when he wakes up. It would just stress him out if he sees a mess around him when he wakes up. You wiped some blood and liquid off the floor, and threw out the trash.

Lewis walked in, with sweat all over his face. You smiled and raised an eyebrow. "Aren't you guys supposed to be doing combat right now?"

He scratched his head. "Yes.."

You brought up your fists. "Are you here to verse your partner again?"

He chuckled and waved his hands rapidly. "No,No. Just wanted to check on you."

You smiled and went up to him, ruffling his hair. "I'm fine Lewis, and thank you for helping me when I collapsed. Next time, don't come in my room no matter what." You shot him an evil glare and he nervously laughed.

"Oh- sorry! Haha.."

You smirked. "Yeah, no matter how nice the view might have been."

Lewis remembered you were in just your tank top and pants. Crimson spread on his face.

"N-no ma'am, I was just very worried. Nothing else."

You smiled. "Yes I know, thank you."

You pushed him outside, knowing he came inside with a bathroom excuse. "Back to training you go!" He ran back out, while waving goodbye to you. You stood there staring outside the window, watching the cadets train. Suddenly, you felt weird.

You turned around fast and flinched. It was the one and only.

Levi stood there in front of you, taking a step forward. You froze. He had his usual, and normal blank expression. His hair was a mess and his clothes were dirty. He had just gotten off the bed.

"L-"

Before you had a chance to speak, he put a finger on your lip. His warm skin tingled against your cold, dry lips. He leaned his head a bit lower, and you were against the window.

"You looked good shirtless. Make sure no one else gets to see it though."

Of course, to the point. Typical Levi. He was back to his normal self. You couldn't help yourself and embraced him with a hug. He was warm, and smelt of dirt. Not gross, it was more of an earthy soil scent. He could never smell bad. Levi was quite surprised with your action, and felt himself melt in your clutch. You stood there for about a few seconds, when you pulled away and put your palm on his forehead.

"You seem better."

"Why wouldn't I be?" He replied, moving hair from your face.

"Do you not remember?"

Levi had a puzzled look on his face.
"I'm guessing I got shot by a gun and ended up here."

You smiled. "Not exactly."

You sat on a chair as Levi leaned against the wall. You told him everything that happened and he had no change in expression whatsoever. Until you told him that he ignored you.

"What." He raised a brow.

"Yeah, you were like in control of yourself but at the same time not yourself." You explained.

"If I was acting like that then I was in 0 control." He scoffed.

"Not really, because you still saved me and even here you were fighting the fluid by trying to remember us." You pointed to him.

"Tch, shitty boyfriend aren't I."

You couldn't help but blush at the title. It was funny but cute hearing it from him. He grabbed your hands and looked at them.

"I'm sorry for all that bullshit, If anything happened to you I would have never forgave myself." He said quietly.

"No, you don't need to apologize. But everyone else was worried about you and would love to see you're normal again!" You stood up and picked up a fresh uniform from the side desk.

"Change and then let's go outside." You demanded.

Levi raised a brow, "Oh but my shoulder." He exaggerated the motion of touching his shoulder. Of course.

You covered your face with your hand, and sat him down on the bed. He did as you wanted and you gripped his shirt with both hands. Unexpectedly, you surprised him by ripping his crippled button up shirt, open. He looked down at his exposed skin, then at you.

"Getting lazy are we, Captain?"

He tossed the shredded fabric to the floor and stood up. He seemed taller for some reason. Levi cupped your face with one hand, coming closer.

"I know you're enjoying this, y/n."

You looked down to his ribs and impulsively trailed a finger down his abs. "I don't know, maybe." You snickered.

He lifted your chin with his fingers, and made you make eye contact with his steel greyish-blue eyes. You felt intimidated, vulnerable, and passionate. You loved it.

Your eyes kept trickling down to his exposed shoulder blades, chest, abs. Everything was so toned and there were just so many different marks and scars across his torso, his body. You wanted nothing more.

Will it escalate?
