Chapter 8 - Home

Ren's POV

I opened my eyes and I was being cradled by someone. I looked up and saw Lumi. "Thanks Lumi," I said, smiling at him, but my eyes said that I just wanted to go home. He nodded and placed me on my feet. We all walked into the room where we were getting our licenses.
The door flew open and Gon walked in, pretty injured. What happened to him?! I'm going to kill whoever did that. Lumi's hand landed on my shoulder, telling me to cool down. I slightly nodded and took a deep breathe. Gon was approaching us. I scanned the crowd and noticed that the guy I fought wasn't there. Hmm, he still didn't wake up?

"You hurt Killua," Gon said, making my eyes go wide. "You forced him to do that!" Oh he's talking to Lumi. My face quickly relaxed and knew that Lumi wanted to control Kil so that he wouldn't get killed, but I also knew that Kil would escape his spell sooner or later. I got lost in my thoughts until I heard the crunching of someone's bones. I looked over and saw Gon crush Lumi's forearm. Hm, he's more stronger when someone messes with his friends, I'll have to remember that.

When we were all finally dismissed, Lumi started to talk to Gon then he made his way over to me. We both walked into an area that nobody would enter. We both already had Zetsu activated. He held out his shattered forearm to me and my nen strings went through his skin and stitched the bones back together, which only took about 15 seconds. 
"I've always loved to see you heal," Lumi said and nodded as a thank you. I nodded back, smiling a bit at his words.

"So this is where you two were?" A voice said that was behind me. I turned around and saw Soka. I waved at him and he smiled in return. He was making his way over then his eyes landed on Lumi's, now not so swollen forearm.
"How?" He asked, pointing to his forearm. I smiled, causing him to look at me with a puzzled look.
"I healed him, with my strings," I said, my smile growing a bit. "Want me to demonstrate?" I asked, my hand was out, for his forearm. He placed it in my hand.
"This'll hurt, but I'll heal it as soon as it gets fractured, plus I'll also like to do another demonstration after this one and it'll require one of your cards you like throwing at people," I said, looking up at him, and surprisingly said that all in one breath.

"Okay, go on," he said, ready for the pain. I nodded and shattered his forearm.
"I shattered your arm more than Gon shattered Lumi's. But it'll still be very easy to fix," I said, glancing up at him. He nodded and I had my strings go through his skin and bring his shattered bone into how it used to be before.
He examined his forearm, causing me and Lumi to chuckle. His eyes almost sparkled like Gon's when he saw something he really liked or wanted. He has an inner child, but barely lets them out.
"Card," I said, my hand still out. He nodded and grabbed the Joker card and placed it in my hand. A smirk creeped onto my face, but quickly slid off. I cut Soka's forearm from his wrist to his elbow, it was deep enough to kill someone if it wasn't treated immediately.
He flinched. "It's alright," I said as my strings started to stitch together all the tissue and blood vessels that were cut.

"Now, both of your forearms should be stronger," I said, clapping my hands together. "Oh, this is yours," I said, giving Soka the card. "Also, I'm gonna go head back to the house, see ya later," I said, hugging them both.

"Be safe," Soka said.

"We mean it," Lumi said, making me giggle cause he knew I was a bit clumsy.

"I will," I said and just like that, we parted ways. I started running home, having a feeling I would have a mission once I got back.

~~ after running all the way back to the Zoldyck Mansion ~~

I stood in front of the gates as I saw Leorio, Kurapika, and Gon there. "Hey guys, here to see Kil?" I asked. They all jumped and turned around. I could tell they just got here.

"Hey, Zebro," I said, smiling at the gate guard.

He slightly bowed his head. "How was your trip, Ms. Ren," he replied.

"It was pretty nice. Oh, go easy on these guys too, I could see a lot of potential in them," I said, glancing at the group of friends.

"Yes, ma'am," he said.

"Welp, I'm gonna go inside now. It was nice seeing you guys, I hope we can see each other again soon, byee," I said, smiling friendly and the boys. I put my hands on the gate and opened six doors without really using my nen. "Do you guys wanna see our pet, Mike?" I asked. They all nodded and came in, including Zebro. "Let him get your scent and see that you aren't a threat," I said as he started to approach us.

"Hey, boy," I said in a tone none of them were used to. Mike licked me. "I've missed you too, Mike," I said, scratching his jaw.

"Zebro, you got them right? I'm gonna go get freshened up and see if there's a new mission for me," I told him and he nodded.

"Bye Ren!" The boys said, simultaneously and walking away.

I turned around and started running towards the house. On the way, I saw Canary on the way and she looked a bit sad.

"Hey, is everything alright?" I asked, placing a hand on her shoulder. She looked up at me.

"Y-yes, I'm alright, thank you, Ms. Ren," she said, looking back into the forest.

"Please call me Ren when we're by ourselves. Also, there is going to be a group of boys that are both Kil's and my friends that are here to save him and they don't know nen. Just a heads up. Oh, also here's a hug, I can see your pain in your eyes," I said as her eyes widened a bit. I kneeled down and hugged her. Even though she was taller than me whenever I kneeled down.
"T-thank you, Ms- I mean Ren," she said after the hug.

I gave her a friendly and heart warming smile, "anytime," I said, walking to the house. That walk soon turned into a jog. I arrived at the front door, being greeted by Mother and Kalluto.

"Hello, Mother, Kalluto," I said, bowing my head slightly at them both.

"Welcome back, dear," Mother said in an almost happy tone.

"Is there a mission for me?" I asked.

"Yes, but I noticed that you opened six of the testing gates with barely using your nen. I'm so proud of you!" She said, embracing me in a hug. Okay, I'm not used to this side of her. I hugged her back.

"How's Kil?" I asked, knowing he was being tortured this very second.

"He's just doing his time for leaving us," she said, releasing me from the hug. I nodded.

"Please inform me on my mission," I said excitedly. She chuckled, she never saw me in this type of way. We all headed inside.

"Here's all the information, so get freshened up and I'll have your outfit on your bed for when you get out," Mother said and I nodded, taking the folder and heading up to my room.
