Little does she know, there's more to her past then they are telling her.
One day...
I kept on having dreams of my past of the girl that was kidnapped all those years ago. God I really miss her. She was like a sister to me... but now I don't know where the hell she is. Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. "Boss, I think we found her," Machi and Shizuku came in, holding a tablet. They handed it to me and there she was, but it looked like a high school picture:

She looks about nineteen in that picture. She must be in her late twenties by now. Don't worry sister... I'm coming.
Ren's POV
Once the timer was finally done, we were able to see sunlight again. The sunlight tickled my pale skin. I just stood there with my eyes closed for a hot second. Then I followed to where everyone was. Oooo, we're gonna be on an island and be hunting each other's badges. I didn't listen to any of the other things that they were saying. When it was my turn to pick up a card, I went up and did so. "You're really powerful," the person whispered into my ear as I was retracting a card. I nodded my head at them and they nodded back. The thing that put me on edge, was the way they said it in a creepy, cold voice.
By the time we arrived on a boat, everyone was hiding their badges, mine was already in my invincible bag. I sat with Kil, Gon, Kurapika, and Leorio. They were talking while I was slipping away into my head. I kept on thinking about my dreams recently. It was strange that it felt like I was the little girl in the dreams. Someone tapped me on the shoulder and snapped me out of it. It was Gon.
"Who'd you get?" He asked me.
"I haven't checked yet," I said, pulling out the card with the cover still on it. I peeled it and it read 16. A smirk started to appear on my face.
"Who is it?" Gon asked.
"The guy that tried to poison you guys with the drinks at the beginning of the exam, Tonpa," I said, laying back, knowing this was going to be too easy. He's probably going to try and team up with someone. "Who did you guys get?" I asked, breaking the silence. They showed their cards at the same time and my eyes went wide at the site of Gon's card. Number 44, Hisoka... his target. "We can trade them if you want, Gon," I offered but he denied.
~~a Hot Second later~~
We arrived at the island and we started getting off by the order we finished the last phase. Hisoka was first then me and the list goes on. But we had to wait 3 minutes before we could go onto the island. Hisoka got up and got onto the island. "Well, I'm next, good luck you guys," I said to the four of them. The three minutes were up and I got up and walked off the boat. It felt nice to finally be on land. When I entered the tree line, I started running around, scoping the place out. By sunset, I knew the entire island and I put some traps around where I was staying. I put on my headphones and started playing my music. I was using Zetsu, but I could feel a dumb ass heading my way without hiding their presence. Well I guess not all of them know how to do so. When the presence was close enough, I saw the person. I smile grew on my face. I jumped down from the tree with no sound. I tied the person up with my strings. The person was Tonpa. "Funny seeing you here," I said, my smile went away. "Tell your friend to get his ass out here, or I'll kill both of you right here, right now," I said, wearing my straight face. He nodded and the man behind me came out of the trees. "Thanks, but wrong move," I said as all I wanted to hear were Tonpa's screams and pleads. My nen strings wrapped around his buddy's monkey's and his buddy's neck. It was tight enough for them to slowly drift off into a slumber they'll never wake up from. I turned back around to see Tonpa's face. I smiled devilishly. "Y-you're the devil," Tonpa stuttered. I stepped closer to him, releasing some bloodlust, causing the strings to get tighter around him. He then started to bleed from the strings.
"Like you aren't, trying to poison kids. You don't deserve to be on this Earth with them, have a nice nap," I said, then kicked his legs out from underneath him. Then I stomped on his face, causing there to be a giant hole in the ground underneath his head. He was sure as hell dead.
"Welp, time to find a new place to set camp," I said to myself after getting Toba's number badge. I started walking away, forgetting to conceal my presence, but it was too late. There was a card held to my neck.
"Hello to you too, Hisoka," I said, putting my finger to the card and turning around. I was putting some aura into the finger that was pushing the card to both push it away and not get cut by it. I activated Zetsu once more. "Well, I'm gonna be going now," I said, then ran at my normal speed to an area the was covered with large trees. On the way, someone shot an arrow, but wasn't aiming for me. I caught it about two inches away from my forehead. I looked back to see Hisoka. Yeesh, he's like a stalker, damn he's worse than Illumi. So I 'saved' his life, I thought it was a kid. Fuck am I becoming soft? No, no I'm not. Fuck, my mind is getting the best of me. I tightened my grip around the steel arrow and it snapped. Then I ran back to the place I was going.
When I finally got there, I climbed one of the trees and sat down on a sturdy and big branch. I got my bag and put in the number badges I just got, then tied my strings around the bag and made it turn invincible, once more. I then started to feel my eyelids get heavy, not being able to keep them open anymore, drifting off into a slumber.
Illumi/Gittarackur's POV
I've been walking around for a while, trying to find Ren. I know that she likes tall things, but she doesn't really like tall men for some reason. Anyways, I thought to the area with tall trees to see if she was there. Then I felt it, the aura she gives off while having a nightmare. I ran to the source. She was up in a tree, sleeping. I felt someone's eyes on me, but she was more important. I jumped up to the branch she was on.
"S-STOP!" She screamed. Tears starting to form in the corner of her eyes. "LET GO OF ME!! I WANT TO STAY WITH BROTHER!! CHROLLO!!" She screamed in the dream. I shook her awake. She looked at her surroundings then at me. She started to sob and she wrapped her arms around me. I hugged back, petting her hair. "It'll be alright, Ren... don't worry," I said while petting her. Well it looks like she's getting flashbacks of her past we made her forget about. Shit, this isn't going to end good. I can't tell Father nor Mother. "I...I was the girl in my dreams... wasn't I?" She asked, looking up at me. I nodded and she buried her face into my chest. She stopped crying, she just needed some emotional support.
