Ali's desperate voice echoed in the field but neil being neil didn't pay heed to him and continued playing with utmost concentration, and the game only got over with a last goal by neil. Ali huffed watching him smirking. It was his favourite job to annoy ali.

Well done neil, as always you have made highest goals. Keep this spirit up for the match. Their coach addressed neil, smiling. Thank you sir. Neil said politely. The coach excused himself and went from there. As soon as neil turned towards ali, ali grabbed him by his neck and started whining about not letting him play again, which only made Neil laugh to the fullest watching his antics.

Neil came out of his grip and rubbed the area of his neck that got achy due to Ali's tight grip. You know no one can come in between me and my game. Neil completed smirking at ali whilst ali rolled his eyes. Neil was a quiet guy but when it comes to football, all his misery that he had kept inside would vanish. His craze for football was on another level of which ali was very well known about. Ali was happy thinking at least something could make the uneventful and dark life of his friend illuminate.

Hey hottie. A flirty voice came making Neil shut his eyes in annoyance. Now it was ali who was smirking watching neil getting annoyed. A girl with fair complexion and elegant beauty stood beside Neil brushing her arm with his. Neil ignored her and went to kept his things in his locker in the sports room. That girl made faces getting annoyed of his cold shoulder attitude towards her but she didn't cease and went behind following him.

I have made your favourite aloo paratha for the first time wait I'll bring my lunch box. She said going closer to him. Neil immediately moved away sensing her advances and glanced at her sternly.

Thanks but no thanks. Saying this he went living her agitated. Neil came to his class and directly went to his seat. Ali was there gobbling down his food. Neil quietly sat beside him massaging his forehead. Ali looked at neil and offered him his lunch box. Neil smiled softly and had the food devouring it.

So what took you so long to come? Ali asked wiggling his brows. Neil glared at him first but then narrated the story. Ali listened to him patiently, though he did not like her much but seeing her efforts to make neil happy made ali contented that there was someone who would be with him but Neil didn't want to give it a chance. When they were in 8th grade she came in Neil's life. From then to till now she tried every possible way to initiate the talk or to earn his friendship but neil simply ignored her. But she as in Raina Divan did not let her efforts bring to an end. At some time even ali thought she would give up some day running behind neil but now it's been 5 years, her madness or love or whatever it was she didn't seem to leave neil easily.

Dekh neil if someone is doing this much for you, you can at least be appreciative in return. Isn't it. Ali said calmly trying to knock some sense in his best friend. Whatever I don't have time for this nonsense and don't forget we have boards this year so better concentrate on studies rather than this. He said firmly, ali nodded. They got busy in lectures and after their much awaited moment, the day came to an end.

Neil bid bye to Ali and walked towards his car. The driver was there to pick him up. Neil was about to get in the car but looking at her his movements halted. He went to her and cleared his throat gaining her attention. Raina if you want we can drop you to your house. He asked politely. She smiled widely and nodded. Neil shook his head and began walking ahead. Getting into the car they drove from there. He could not deny his father. He had told him to offered Raina a ride whenever her driver would on leave. Neil also had no problem but her clingy nature is what that bothered him all the time but since few days it had become a routine for her to go home with him in his car. He Sighed stroking his forehead when she started blabbering non stop about herself and he only wished for the journey to end as soon as possible.

"Neil!"

Ali's voice buzzed within the silence surrounding cabin but got no response. He huffed watching his best friend not paying a penny of attention to him.

"Neil!"

Again no response. Okay, last try.

"Avni!" And Neil immediately started looking at his surroundings just hearing that one name. Ali smiled tightly watching his desperate friend still looking for his love interest.

"Kaha hai?" ( where is she? ) Neil asked looking puzzled. Ali rolled his eyes and stroked his forehead.

"Tere dil mein hai na vo, yaha kaise dikhegi?" ( she resides in your heart no? Why would she show up here? ) exclaimed Ali cheekily.

Neil glared at him and shook his head hearing his sarcastic remark. Ali had been having some work near Neil's company so after he got free he  decided to drop in here to say hi. Avni was busy with other colleagues to prepare presentations regarding some projects so she was yet to meet ali. And with neil it seems she was doing everything and anything that she could to ignore Neil as much as possible. In the morning also she had placed all the needed files and documents on his desk that were to be contemplated at by neil before he had came.

"What would you have coffee or juice?" Neil asked picking up his intercom.

"I'll have one hamburger, fries, chicken sandwich and a coke, thank you!" Ali replied enthusiastically, his eyes twinkled by just uttering these delicacy. He licked his lips waiting for their taste to explode in his mouth.

Neil looked at him stunned, taken aback by his audacity. "Do I look like a waiter to you or does this place is a restaurant?" Neil uttered annoyed but a soft voice left him smiling. His heart started thumping in ecstasy.

"Yes sir?" Avni spoke meekly from the other side. Neil cleared his throat. "Send two coffee please" He rejoined softly unknown to him making the emotions of her to go haywire. Ali stomped his foot huffing, hearing him not considering his wish.

"Sure sir" saying this the line got dead leaving Neil in despair.
