Getting up lazily from the bed, she stretched her arms yawning. Her eyes were shut feeling too tired to open them. She recalled the previous day's events and smiled. She was way too excited to meet riya today and quickly went into the washroom grabbing her clothes.

After getting ready for the day, she went downstairs and met with dadaji at dining table. Taking his blessings she hurriedly went outside excusing her as she was getting late.

Reaching the company she collided with mr.patel and he said her to went through Neil's schedule first. He was on the way to come. She stepped inside his cabin and roamed her eyes in every corner observing it. Yesterday she was way too busy to notice all that. It was well furnished and established just like he prefers classy and simple. She went near his chair and smiled softly as if he was there in real.

Within a minute he entered inside his cabin and his lips curved in a charming smile receiving the best view of the morning in the form of her smile. He settled down on his chair giving her a side hug and took out a file. While she stood there froze not knowing what just happened. He called her once but she was in her dream land not giving any heed to him.

Neil spared her a glance and shook her arm in order to get her attention. She quickly looked at him and bit her lips in embarrassment. He smiled smugly watching her red face.

Avni: ye yes sir

She stuttered and neil smiled softly recalling something.

Neil: where were you lost?

Avni: no nothing.

Neil: okay. Take this file. I want you to make a presentation on it.

Avni: but sir what if I could not do it properly, please give it to others.

Neil: avni you are here to learn this only. And I am here right? I will guide you whenever you have any doubts. Okay!

He said blinking his eyes at last and her heart was at ease now hearing this from him. She nodded and went from there to her desk. Neil leaned back on his chair supporting his right hand under his chin and watched her engrossed in the work. Her desk was opposite of his cabin and the walls of glasses made it easier for him.

After sometime she again came to his cabin having some doubts. He explained some points regarding the contents and looked up at her face only to get lost having a peaceful look. Her strands slathered with breeze making him eager to get close to her and tucked them behind her ear entwined his fingers between her locks.

Avni looked at him sensing his gaze and lowered her eyes finding him doing the same still. She went from there quickly excusing herself and neil closed his eyes rubbing his forehead.

Why was he thinking like that? Why he always get lost staring at her? Fighting with those unspecified questions he looked on gaping at her through his cabin.

Shoving away his thoughts he concentrated on his work. After a while he lifted up his gaze and his brows furrowed in amazement watching avni with riya. They were talking and laughing holding each other's hands. Neil smiled softly watching avni's eyes shining which clearly depicted her happiness.

He knew riya since college days just like avni. He had always seen her with avni, been together always no matter what situation may occur. Riya was truly an angel in avni's life disguised as friend. She was an excellent example of an incredible friend avni had in her life while in his case he wasn't fortunate enough to get a friend like her, he had only recieved betrayal and pain through that bond.

He was so engrossed in his thoughts that he didn't know when avni had came to him. She called his name softly seeing him lost somewhere. He looked at her hearing his name and smiled placing his both arms on the desk.

Avni: vo can I go out for sometime? Actually my friend has came to meet me. I wouldn't take long please.

Neil: riya is that friend right?

Avni looked shocked and he grinned watching her expression. She just nodded still being confused unaware of the fact that her boss had his eyes on her all the time without coming to her notice.

Neil: its okay you can go but yeah come soon.

Avni: I will. Thank you.

She went and he watched her going with riya. They both went to some nearby cafe and settled down at the corner away from all the hustle bustle.

Riya: avi you didn't let me meet neil why?

Avni: riya what if he doesn't like that being all friendly that too with my friends. Moreover I don't want him to think that I being his pa take advantages of my position, that's why I brought you here.

Riya: okay miss calculator

Avni shook her head and laughed hearing one more endearment from her.

Riya: you are happy right?

Avni: don't know. Who would be happy in this situation? At one side I am married but I have nothing to do with it and on another side he, whom I lo

She halted and looked away. Riya held her hand.

Riya: chill avni, don't think much. Just go with the flow.

Avni nodded and both spent their little bit time because avni had to be there also. Riya told her she would drop avni home today, avni denied at first but later agreed in front of her constant pleadings.

At evening riya called avni that she has came to pick her up. Avni wrapped up her work for the day and met riya down at parking lot. Neil saw them going and smiled and drove to his home.

His mind drifted into the moment where they had stuck in the traffic for an hour. Them clearing misunderstandings and at last holding her hand since don't know how long. He felt like he was just waiting for her all these days and when she finally came all his misery and pain had gone making him free from all the burdens of his unrelenting fate. He breathed a sigh of relief after getting out from the car and raked his fingers in his hair smiling for the no reason.
