Avni got ready in a plain white embroidered kurti with blue jeans. She was combing her hair standing in front of dressing table. Abhimaan came there and stood staring at her.

Abhimaan: I am telling you again think about it once more afterwards don't complain if something wrong happens

Avni looked at him through mirror and Sighed. The nerve of him. How does he know it's the only right for her.

Avni: don't worry I won't say anything beside I know what is right and wrong for me

Abhimaan: okay come I will be dropping you

Avni: no it's ok I will go by myself because our paths are different anyway

Abhimaan clenched his fist and marched towards her. He grabbed her arm and pulled her roughly

Abhimaan: our paths were same and will be the same always understood

Avni:I was talking about office routing ( in mind ) admit it or not our paths are different abhimaan.

He left her and raked his fingers in hair.

Abhimaan: everyone is waiting for us downstairs let's go

Avni rolled her eyes and They went downstairs. Avni touched dadaji's feet and he blessed her.

Dadaji: khus raho aur khub Tarakki karo

Avni smiled and moved to Sanjana. She hugged avni tightly.

Sanjana: bhabhi all the very best. I have heard a lot about NK it's one of the best companies in India. You are so lucky that you get a chance to start your career there.

Avni smiled and looked at abhimaan while he looked away.

Abhimaan's mother: avni I know abhimaan is not happy with your decision and I am too

Dadaji glared at her.

Abhimaan's mother: But now that you have decided please take care of everything I don't want any trouble for my son and his work. You are now daughter in law of this house now it's honour is in your hand

Dadaji: uski Chinta tum mat karo avni samajhdar hai

Avni smiled and bid bye to them. She got inside the car and heaved a sigh of relief. Now she was so close to her dream and of course to someone close to her.

At Khanna mantion

Neil came downstairs after getting ready for the day in his black three piece suit. His father was out of town for some business related work. He occupied his seat at dining table and servant started serving him.

He was about to place the morsel into his mouth when he saw someone that instantly ruined his mood. His step mother suhana. She came near him and sat on a adjacent seat.

Suhana: how are you Neil BETA now a days you don't have time to meet your MOTHER at least huh

She said emphasising the word beta and mother. He clenched his jaw and stood up abruptly. The chair fell down with thud on which he was seated. He was extremely angry and annoyed at the woman he hated to the core.

Neil: kitni baar kaha hai don't poke your nose in my life. First and the last thing you are not my mother get that thing in your tiny brain.

He took his briefcase and went from there in rage. His eyes were splitting fire that could burn anyone. Other side his so called mother was smirking ruining his mood.

Other side avni was scared and anxious regarding the interview. It will be her first interview. Her nervousness reached to its peak and she started biting her nails.

Avni: please sab kuch sambhal lena bhagvan ji I won't complain if the boss will be Hitler and arrogant. I just need this job that's it.

She reached to her destination and got out from the car. Her eyes traveled to the huge, spacious and superior building. On it NK MULTINATIONAL COMPANY was engraved with some stylish fonts. She was feeling good yet nervous at the same time.

She took a deep breath to calm her racing heartbeat and proceeded towards the receptionist. Some type of feeling engulfed her heart as soon as she stepped inside.

Avni: excuse me

Receptionist: yes mam

Avni: I am here for the interview can you tell me where should I go

Receptionist: sure mam one second

She typed something then looked up.

Receptionist: yes mam interview will be held at 15th floor. You can take lift from this side and all the best.

She said showing her the way and passed her a sweet smile.

Avni: thank you so much

She smiled and went towards the lift. She got inside but the file that she was holding fell down. She twitch her lips and bent down to take file. Some started getting inside the lift. Now avni was standing at the corner and in front of her two tall men stood blocking her way to see anything. At the same time neil entered inside the lift and pressed the button. The lift started moving. Both were unaware of their presence. Some girls were drooling over neil staring at him from top to bottom but he was standing still without giving damn to anyone.

Avni: oh God everyone has to come in the same lift?

It was getting difficult for her to stand there anymore due to the crowd. Finally the lift came to a halt and neil was the first one to step outside. He directly went to his cabin while avni took a deep breath due to feeling suffocated inside the lift. She heard some girls talking about a man.

Girl: oh my god you see how handsome is my NK

Her friend: your NK? Dude come out from your dreamland and focus on your interview

Girl: oh please I am sure I will definitely be the one he would choose

Avni shook her head and smiled. She just prayed for the interview to go well. She doesn't want to lose this opportunity at any cost.
