Chapter Seven: Games and Guards

POV: Kuroo Tetsuro

"I think I may be in love with him."

I could see Oikawa's eyes widen.

"Wait, you're in love with Kenma? But that's so soon and-"

"It's not soon. I've known him longer than you. I definitely fell in love with him before today. I didn't want to admit it because, well I didn't know him. But now seeing him and hearing him talk, my heart is beating so fast."

Oikawa just looks at me. He's stunned. I've always thought that Kenma was gonna be a girl. So when I started to develop feelings for said online friend I didn't question it. But meeting him, my feelings didn't go away. Boy or girl it didn't matter to me.

"Kuroo, you won't be able to have a relationship with him."

"What? Why not?"

"He lives in Fukurodani! That's five hours away from Nekoma!"

"I know but if you marry the Princess-"

"So you're gonna force me to marry the Princess just so you can see Kenma more often? He's not her guard you know that, right? Hell be with Akaashi who's staying in Fukurodani."

"Yeah but-"

"Kuroo. It won't work."

"I have to try! What if he feels the same? I have a chance Oikawa! Why not take it? If you and Iwaizumi were childhood friends and you met for the first time wouldn't you try to form a better relationship?"

"What does Iwa have to do with anything?"

"It's hypothetical!"

He stays silent. "I would, but I probably wouldn't be in love with him."

"Ok so then pretend I just want to be friends with Kenma! Do you see what I mean? Either way I want to be closer to him!"

Oikawa walks around his room. We've been talking on his bed but now he's pacing around the room.

"Here's what we'll do, I'll invite Akaashi and his guards to the arcade room, my guards will follow suit. That way it won't be weird for you to hangout with Kenma. You ask him whatever you want, it won't be weird for you guys to talk if all of us are together."

"Thank you, Oikawa."

"Yeah, I understand how you feel. Plus it's a bonus for me, I get to talk to Akaashi and Iwa. Two people who seem very interesting."

"Maybe I should be worrying about Iwaizumi."

"Shut it Rooster."

"Bitch."

I get up and follow him out the door. We make our way to Akaashi's room first. He knocks and we hear a come in.

"Oh, Oikawa~San and Kuroo~San! Welcome!"

"No need for the formalities Akaashi!"

"Right, it's a habit."

"Well, we were wondering if you and your guards would join us! We have a game room and would love if you all joined to play some games!"

"That sounds wonderful! When shall we start?"

"Well me and Kuroo we're gonna head to the Guards Corner after we got you, so now?"

Akaashi's eyes light up. A little strand of black hair falls on his forehead.

"Yes! Let's go!"

The three of us head to the guard's corner. Oikawa knocks quietly and requests for his and Akaashi's guards. The four of them come out and I lock eyes with Kenma. My heart is racing so fast right now. We both look away and follow Oikawa to the game room.
