Chapter Twenty Four: The Banquet

POV: Akaashi Keiji

"Kaashi you ready?"

"No but I need to be."

"It'll be fine! Maybe you'll find a Princess!"

I Pat him on the head. "Maybe Bokuto~San....maybe...."

I walk into the ball room. I see a bunch of princes, Princesses, guards and butlers all over. I hate events like this, but I'm doing this for Oikawa.

I notice Kuroo and Kenma walk in and I wave to them. They come join us and we all just kinda stand together.

"Oikawa shouldn't have to do this. He doesn't want to. He's dead set on Iwaizumi."

Kuroo whisper in my ear made me shiver. We all know that he doesn't want to. But he has to.

"I know he is." I whisper back.

It's full of people talking but as the Queen and King appear it starts to simmer down.

"Hello! Welcome to the Royal Aoba Johsai Banquet! I'm so happy you've all gathered here today! Tonight is the night Aoba Johsai finally has a chance to have a Princess in the palace! Before I have our prince come out, I must thanks some others who have helped us with the preparations! Prince Akaashi Keiji from Fukurodani and Prince Kuroo Tetsuro from Nekoma please come up front."

I turn to Kuroo and he nods. We walk up and I can hear all the people applauding. Once we reach the front she starts talking again.

"These two have helped so much recently and I must praise them. Also I'm sure Prince Akaashi here is looking for a Princess as well, so be sure to take interest in him! Would you boys like to say anything?"

I turn to Kuroo again but he's already speaking.

"Hello, I'm Kuroo Tetsuro from Nekoma. I'd just like to say thank you to the whole Oikawa family for everything they've done for me. I feel incredibly welcomed when I'm here. And I consider Oikawa Tooru my best companion. I wish the best of luck for him to find his soulmate tonight."

Applause. But now it's my turn.

"Uh hi, I'm Akaashi Keiji from Fukurodani. Though it's been a small amount of time since I've known the Oikawa family, I really enjoy coming over. If I lived closer I'm sure I'd be over as much as Kuroo is. So for you Oikawa Tooru, may tonight be the night you finally realize who you want to be with, and for them to realize as well, that you're the one they want to be with."

I take a bow and there's applause. Me and Kuroo sit down next to Kenma and Bokuto.

"Thank you boys! Now time for the Prince of Aoba Johsai to join us!"

As she says that Oikawa comes walking out with Tsukishima following. Where'd Iwaizumi go?

"Keiji!"

I turn to see Iwaizumi whisper my name, Kuroo luckily didn't hear but he noticed when I start to head to Iwaizumi.

"Where are you going?"

"Uh I have an emergency real quick I'll be back."

"Hurry, I don't know where Iwaizumi is and I'm worried."

I nod and head off after Iwaizumi. We meet in the guest room I'm staying in.

"Hajime why aren't you up there?"

"They wouldn't let me go, said that he could only have an Aoba Johsai guard with him."

"That's ridiculous!"

"I know, look Keiji, we need to move."

"Move?"

"Yeah, move here, with him and Bokuto."
