Chapter Nineteen: Mortal Kombat Date

POV: Kuroo Tetsuro

Kenma. Oh Kenma. I can't even begin to explain how much I missed you. When he arrived I wanted to cry. I was so happy and here we are alone together in one of the spare bedrooms just talking.

"Kuroo?"

"Hm?"

"You've been staring off like an idiot."

"Wow, rude."

"What else did you want me to say? You been staring at me like you're a love struck teenager who wants to fu-"

"That's enough. I was kidding."

He smiles. God I love that smile.

I chose this room cause Oikawa hooked up an Xbox in here one day and still hasn't taken it out. It's got a bunch of games and well this is Kenma we're talking about.

"Wanna play?"

I point to the console.

"Oh yeah sure. What are we playing?"

"Mortal Kombat?"

"What one?"

"XL."

"Pffft if you think you'll beat me in that you'll have to think twice."

He smirks. I turn everything on and hand him a controller.

"Be prepared Kuroo cause you're dead meat."

"You keep saying that."

"Wanna make a bet?"

"Yeah, what's the bet?"

Kenma smiles and you can tell it's not gonna be good for me.

"Hmm, you have to take me to Nekoma alone."

"Like a date?"

He looks up. "Yeah, like a date."

I smile. Gladly Kenma. "And what if I win?"

"Whatever you want."

"Hmm, I want a whole day where you can't say no to me."

"Oh god that sounds awful."

"It won't be that bad! I promise I won't ask for anything bad."

He glared at me. "Fine. I'm just gonna have to beat you."

"You keep saying that but you haven't seen me play."

"I don't need to see to know I'm better."

"Whatever."

We get to the character selection screen. I choose my lucky character, Reptile. I'm the best at him there's no way-

"Are you Kitana?"

"Yeah, you got a problem with that? She's awesome."

"I-... Whatever. Ready?"

"Yeah, best two outta three?"

"Yeah. And new characters every time?"

"That's fine."

We start the game and I won't lie Kenma is a boss. I'm having struggles getting hits in. But after I did he went down. I won the first match.

"Damn, I'll have to step my game up."

I laugh. We choose new characters. I choose Scorpion and Kenma chooses-

"Mileena?"

"Do you have an issue with my character choices?"

"No it's just you're choosing all the girls."
