POV: Yamaguchi Tadashi

I smile as the princess walks into the room. I stare at her and her brother as they sit down for dinner. The food is well made thanks to our wonderful cooks and I had set the table as nice as can be.

"Thank you Tadashi, you may leave. We'll call if we need your help again." The Princess says.

I give a quick bow before silently walking back to my room. As soon as I get there I close the door and sigh. This job is a lot to handle.

I work as a butler for the royal family of Fukurodani. The Princess is Chizuru Teruhashi. She's not the worst person I've met but she's kind of a brat. I really want to find someway to insult or her or something. But I can't, I'm just a butler.

The Prince however, is extremely nice. Teruhashi's brother Keiji Akaashi. They have different last names because Prince Akaashi was brought into the family. They found him wandering the gates outside the castle when he was five and took him in. They realized he had a princely face and was extremely fit for a potential king. They decided to take him in as their child.

I like Prince Akaashi more than I like Princess Teruhashi. He respects everyone and is very relaxed. He knows how to make anyone smile. He also has his two guards with him that are also just as amazing as him. In my opinion they're the best guards I've ever seen and trust me, this palace has had too many guards to count.

I was taken in as a butler due to my weak demeanor. My parents begged the royal family to take me in. Not only did they want to get rid of me but they also wanted to have a son who had potential to be a prince. That of course failed but the Queen saw me and didn't want to give me up. So they gave me the job as a butler.

I handle all the calls and schedule meetings and drive them to the meetings. I am basically their personal maid. There's a lot of maids and butlers but the family prefers to keep me close. And I'm a little more privileged than the rest of the maids and butlers. They gave me my own room. Actually only because Prince Akaashi convinced them to.

I owe a lot to him. He really helped me out. If I could, I would consider him my best friend. But I can't actually consider the Prince as nothing more than a prince.

Though he convinced the King and Queen to give me my own room, it's very small. But I take what I can get. I actually kinda enjoy it. It's nice and quiet.

I lay down on my bed as soon as I get in my room. I really want to nap but I've slept through announcements before and that just got everyone mad. My shift officially ends at eight pm, so I just have to wait two more hours. At least they gave me books to read.

As soon as I grab a book I get a knock on my door.

"Mr. Yamaguchi, it's me Hajime."

Oh, one of Akaashi's guards is at my door.

"Come in."

He opens the door and walks in.

"Prince Akaashi has asked for your service. He needs help figuring out the day to hold the November festival."

"I'll be right there."

He bows before leaving. Hajime Iwaizumi is one of Akaashi's guards. He radiates the meanest energy but he is actually pretty nice. He does have a very strict and mean side to him but that's what makes him a good guard.

I walk out of my room and meet Prince Akaashi in the dining room again. Princess Teruhashi and him are still in the middle of dinner but I guess this is important.

"Ah, Tadashi~San, thank you for joining us! I apologize for calling you back right after you left. Please have a seat!" Akaashi waves for me to go to the table.
