Jocelyn's POV
"WHAT" The four of us screamed.
"But why? They said we could stay together!" I said.
"They said you could stay together IF none of you do anything." The women said.
"But we didn't do anything! Mason set our house on fire!" I said trying not to burst into tears.
"Don't care"
We got to the station and walked inside. There were 2 adults waiting inside. One was a female, the other was a male. Darry was still holding me. Darry pulled Soda and Pony in for a hug. I leaned my head against Soda's.
"You can say your goodbyes in a minute" the women's said annoyed.
We all looked up. I started glaring at the women.
"This is Ms. Jackson and Mr. Bennett. Soda and Pony, you will be going to a boys home and Mr. Bennett is the head of it. Jocelyn, you will be going to a girls home and Ms. Jackson is the head of it." The women said.
They both waved. We just stared at them.
"Some rules. No visitors. Jocelyn, there is a uniform in the girls home your going to. Pony and Soda, you will stay in the same room. Jocelyn, you will be staying with a group of girls. You will meet them when you arrive. No leaving the homes unless it's for school or your going some where with either Ms. Jackson or Mr. Bennett or if you get adopted" the women continued.
"Wait, Soda and I dropped out of school. We work at the DX" I said.
"No jobs. We will tell your boss what happened and that you can no longer work. Now. Say your goodbyes." The women said getting even more annoyed.
We all hugged.
"I'll figure something out. I promise" Darry said.
"Wait a minute" Johnny said.
We all turned and looked at him.
"Who's gonna tell Dally" Johnny continued.
"This just got harder" Steve said.
Nobody knew what to say. We finished saying goodbye, so the women would stop yelling at us. I started following Ms. Jackson to her car. I turned around and ran to Soda. We went straight to a hug. I let go and walked to Ms. Jackson. We left the station and went to her car. I sat in the backseat. She got in the front. We drove for about 10 minutes before arriving at the girls home.
She parked her car and we got out. I followed her into the building. We walked inside and walked into, I'm assuming her office.
"Here are the rules. You will be staying in a room with 7 other girls. You will eat at the same table as them and hang out with them. We have a strict schedule everyday. On Sundays, you may write letters to people. We will also give you your letters on Sunday. We send out the letters on Mondays." Ms. Jackson explained.
I nodded.
"Since you don't go to school, you will help watch the younger kids during the school day. We have placed your uniform on your bed. There are 2 pairs of sleepwear. There are 3 skirts, 2 shorts, 2 pants, and 7 shirts. You will wear those everyday and night. There will be no visitors."
I nodded. I almost cried at the last part. I couldn't see my brothers or my friends. I know we were told that, but I didn't think it would actually happen.
"Tomorrow, you will get a tour of the home and more information. Right now, if you follow me. I will bring you to the main room. Every day from 8-10PM. The girls hang out in the main room. Some days there will be announcements." Ms. Jackson said walking out of the office.
