Darry's POV

It was Wednesday morning. I've been staying in a room at Bucks. I walked downstairs to make breakfast for everyone. I saw the mail sitting on the counter. I walked over to it and looked through the envelopes. I pulled out the ones with my name. I walked back upstairs to my room. I looked through the envelopes. It was bills, junk mail, and a paycheck. I noticed another envelope. It was Joy's handwriting.

I opened the envelope. There were 4 papers inside. I pulled them all out. They were names on all 4 papers, mine, Two-bit, Shepherd, and Dally. I put down three of the papers and opened the one with my name. There was a paycheck. I put it on the dresser and read the note.

I smiled. I'm glad she's doing ok. Hopefully Soda will be ok, I don't want to lose any of them. I placed the note with the paycheck. I grabbed the other three notes and walked downstairs. Everyone was sitting at the counter, which was the bar.

"Hey Darry"

"Hey Johnnycakes"

"Watcha got there?" Two-bit asked.

"Letters from Joy"

Dally lifted his head and looked at me.

"Joy?"

"Yeah, are you ok?" I said. I noticed he wasn't wearing his necklace. "Where's your necklace?"

"I wrote a letter to her. Dally put his necklace in the envelope" Tim said.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared at Dally. We stared at him for a minute before I said something.

"Anyway, Two-bit she wrote you a letter. Tim, here's yours. And Dally, she wrote one for you also." I said handing them their letters.

Tim Shepherd's POV

Darry handed me a letter from Joy. I opened it and read it. I really did miss her.

"Johnny and Steve, Joy says hi."

They both smiled. I liked her plan from when she gets out of the home. When her gang doesn't go to the drive-in with her, I go with her. I became friends with her in grade school. We've been good friends ever since.

Two-bit's POV

I opened the letter Darry gave me as fast as I could and read it.

"Seriously Tim! You told her I've been drinking more then usual!"

"Sorry! I had to! I figured if anyone could help with that, it would be her. She cares about you, I didn't want you to be gone when she got out of the home." Tim said.

I realized he was right. I put head in my heads. Johnny hugged me.

Dally's POV

Two-bit put his head in his hand. I looked at the paper and opened it. I read the note. I started smiling.

"Aww Dally likes his letter" Buck said teasing me.

"Shut your trap Buck" I said.

"So, why were you smiling?" Buck asked.

"My necklace made her feel like the gang was with her"

Everyone just stared at me. Darry looked like he was going to start crying.

"You ok Darry?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just miss her."

"We all do. Same with Pony and Soda" Steve said.
