The Perseverers (DC X Male Reader)

#11 Captured

"Where is y/n l/n?!" The mysterious man yelled once again into the crowded restaurant you were beginning to worry. Who was he and why did he want you? Was it something you did in Gotham? He jumped down from the broken window and grabbed the first person he saw. To check if they were you. He then threw them outside and walked back to the window when the police started showing.

The police got out of their cars and aimed their guns at the man, telling him to freeze. Out of nowhere, the man threw an old dagger into one police officer, killing him and grabbed a hostage that was near him. Glass was kicked around as he moved around on the window. The officers had no choice but stand down otherwise the hostage could be killed.

"If y/n l/n does not show in a minute, then I'll start killing people to get his attention!" He held another dagger at a woman's throat who was crying. He shown her to everyone to show how serious he was. Dawn was looking at you with a worried expression.

"Who is he? Why does he want you?" Dawn questioned as you both hid behind the turned-over table.
"I have no idea but just stay here. I'm going to sort it out." You told her while about to stand up. She grabbed your arm to pull you back to her and under the table.

"What do you think you're doing?! He's crazy, what if he kills you."
"It'll be better than having tons of people die instead." You then pulled her into a quick kiss incase this was your last goodbye.
"I love you Dawn." You spoke not realising what you just said.
"I love you too." She responded while looking scared for your life. You slowly stood up while holding your hands above your head and starred into the craze man's eyes.

"I'm right here." You shouted at him which caused him to spin and face you. He had black, shiny, long hair that fell on his shoulders with a black scruffy beard. The dark trenchcoat he wore matched the colour of his hair as well as his shiny shoes. He wore a blue shirt that looked like something a vampire would consider fashionable hundreds of years ago. You couldn't fight him as that would give away everything or he would hurt some people which is the last thing you wanted.

"Good boy. Now play nice and come with me."
"Let her and everyone else go first." You negotiated while slowly stepping forward with your arms still in the air.
"I don't see why not." He threw the woman at you who you quickly caught and made sure was alright. She ran off before you walked towards him. You could really use the others showing up around now.

"Good boy." He grabbed you close and a huge puff of smoke blocked your vision and somehow your hearing. Once your vision was coming back, you were bashed in the back of the head getting knocked out.

Dawn stood in shock as she saw you disappeared from where you last were after saving the woman. Tears started forming in her eyes and clouded her vision. A tear drop rolled down her cheek as everyone else was being checked on. She couldn't do anything. She felt so helpless that she didn't stop you. And now you were gone.

A yellow and blue flash appeared at the  front of the restaurant near the police cars after hearing of a hostage takeover.
"Isn't this where y/n and Dawn went for their date?" Kara asked worryingly to the other two.
"Yeah." Donna muttered before rushing to the scene to search for the two of you. Dawn was outside the building and was being questioned by a police officer until she spotted the heroes. She excused herself and ran over into Donna's arms.

"They took him!" She balled into Donna's arms with tears streaming down her face and ruining her makeup.
"Calm down Dawn, what happened." Wally asked while looking around for you.
"Some crazed man took people hostage and was looking for y/n. He took him and disappeared!" She broke into more tears at the last part. Dawn was in pieces, the man she loved had just been kidnapped and she couldn't do anything about it.
