"Dawn, this isn't your fault-"
"But I wasn't enough to stop anything. I'm not strong enough to stop her or even smart enough to change her mind!" Dawn cut Wally off as she was fighting back against tears while pounding a fist against her chest. The two had just returned back home after Elise left.

"We agreed that she would stay until there was a chance for her to go back, and that's what happened. We did our job." Wally argued to make her realise what he was trying to say, that Elise going wasn't a bad thing.

"It's not about her leaving us, it's the fact she left with the idea she caused wrong doings. That she was the reason the team fell apart and her father is in prison." The white haired woman sat down on a step and placed her face in her hands. Wally had nothing to say, he sat down next to her and placed an arm around her back.

"I can't keep doing this." She muttered under her breath. This caught the young man's attention.
"What? You are joking right?!" He asked rhetorically but Dawn responded in an instant.

"No I'm not joking Wally. I can't keep doing this whole thing because I don't think I'm enough for it all. With y/n in prison, I couldn't step up and lead the team which meant everyone argued and left, I couldn't be a guardian for someone who witnessed the imprisonment of their father, and I'm no where strong enough to stop the ever-growing crime rate of this city. I'm not enough."

"And that's why we work as a team." Wally interjected to try and go against her point. "We need you more than you realise Dawn."
"There is no team. Donna and Kara can barely stay in the same room as each other after they had an entire fight, plus they do everything on their own now. Kaldur left in order to think then realised it was best to return to Atlantis for a bit to clear up his head. It's just you and I Wally, and I am barely holding on." Dawn stated as she got up and left to go to her room.

Wally didn't know what to say. He simply sat on the couch and took a nap to calm all the overwhelming thought Dawn just placed on his brain.

A few moments later, Dawn marched through the main room in her Dove attire and left the base while Wally took a rest on the couch. Maybe everything was falling apart.

The metal door was slammed shut with a loud bang as the person marched their way over to the kitchen and swung open the fridge door. They then took a large beer before opening it with just a click of their fingers and placed themselves on top of one of the stools.

Donna took a deep breath in as the whole day had been one big mess. Lucky enough the sun had set long ago which meant she had an excuse to head to bed and put her mind to rest. She took a deep sigh and a massive gulp of her drink before getting up and trod her way down the hallway and into her room.

As soon as she closed her door, the front door opened. Donna didn't want to talk to anyone right now so she just decided to begin to get undressed and get into bed. However, while removing her top, she heard something that caught her attention.

"Who are you Artibeus?" Was said aloud by the krptonian as Donna made her way out her room and into the computer room. There she saw Kara still in her suit and working on the many monitors that created a blue hue on her face.

"Hey Kara, what you up to?" Donna asked confused by the blonde's previous question. What did she mean by 'who are you'?
"Oh hi Donna. It's nothing, just working on something." Kara tried to brush off any attention from the Amazon standing behind her.

Despite Donna trying to apologise and recreate the friendship they once had, Kara was still creating distance between the two after what had been shared among them. Those words ran across her mind constantly at the sight of Donna.
