#12 Family Matters

You finally awoke. Glancing around the room helped you figure out that you were in the medical room. Your head hurt a bit but not as bad as before when you were captured. The room was bright, must of been early morning due to the blinding sun light leaking through the blinds. Your body was wrapped in bandages and you still had some cuts and scars from the torture.

You sat up a bit in the hospital bed to see that you were hooked up to some equipment. You unhooked yourself while waking up more. As you sat up, you saw Dawn to the right sleeping in a chair with your hoodie on again. You got up and gave her a quick kiss on the head before exiting the room and moving to your room.

Dawn slowly woke up from the chair to a surprising sight, the medical bed was empty. She got up quickly and rushed out to try and find you. Dawn rushed around the tower and through the hallways in a searching manner.

She dashed into the kitchen where Donna was preparing some food for herself until she saw Dawn.
"Hey Dawn, want som-"
"Have you seen y/n?!"
"Y/n? No, is he not in bed?"
"No, he must've gotten up when I was asleep." She began to move out the room with Donna behind now in the same worried expression.

They both were scouring the tower in search for you. Dawn went to the training room and armoury whereas Donna searched the bedrooms and garage. They were worried because you've been knocked out for a few days after just being kidnapped and tortured for a week.

Donna checked the garage first incase you decided to drive away or something. She sighed a sigh of relief when she saw the car still in the garage and damaged a bit from last time. She rushed back into the elevator and to the rooms. Her first stop was your room of course.

She paced through the hallways and over to your door. Donna barged into the room and stopped once she saw you topless. A bright blush appeared on her cheeks as she got caught in a trance at staring at you. You placed a black top over your head and turned to Donna.

"Hey. What's up?"
"Hey? You had us worried sick when you disappeared this morning."
"Sorry, just went to get changed. I'm here now so what happened."
"Well, you were missing for a week so I had to step in your spot as leader. Honestly I don't know how you do it," she joked which made you both laugh but you stopped once a sharp pain occurred in your stomach. Still not fully healed.
"Dawn was a mess. She thinks it was her fault you got captured and didn't leave her room at first but then she went out on missions with us after."
"I need to talk to her, where is she?"
"She's in the training floor, why?"
"Maybe this relationship thing isn't good for the team. If it means that I worry for her going out and she blames herself for my decisions then I don't know."
"You can't break up yet, she just got you back. Wait a while and if you truly feel like this then talk it out with her."
"I will, thanks Troy."

You pulled her into a hug which did hurt but was worth it. She melted into the hug as this was the first time she's seen you in ages. You walked out to find Dawn, leaving Donna behind in your room.

You had Dawn had just had a calming talk due to your absence after the date. She was much calmer now but you didn't tell her your thoughts yet, you still loved her despite your worries for her. Wally ran in telling you that you had a message on the computer.

You followed him into the computer room where a coded message was on the monitor. It required a password to even access the message so you tried the one you knew.

"How did you know it?" Wally stood in shock.
"Because I know who sent it." You claimed as you continued typing away until the message popped up.
"Wally inform the others, I'm needed back in Gotham."
"Already? But we just got you back!" He exclaimed while throwing his hands into the air.
"I'm sorry but it's a family urgency, I'll be back before Friday." You walked out and went over to your room to pack. But what you didn't know was that Kara was snooping on the conversation.
