The two undercover heroes were back at the Aizawa Manor and unbeknownst to [L/n], they were about to have a talk. Not undercover, but as partners, as Lightbringer and Eraserhead.

“Don’t say a word, not right now [L/n].” Aizawa spoke, turning around to look her in the eyes. His actions were throwing her off, and while she hoped he wasn’t breaking character, she was also wishing that he was, so that she too could break character. They weren’t supposed to just in case they were being watched, but Aizawa didn’t care, not right now.

“Please don’t tell me you were considering getting a Quirk Alteration.” He spoke, his eyes locked on hers, not allowing her to look away.

"My Lor—"

"No, I am not your Lord, I am not your Master, none of that. I am Shouta Aizawa, I am your partner, and you are my partner. So please, be honest with me right now, okay?” To say that [L/n] had been taken off guard would be an understatement, yet she gave him the kindest of smiles and nodded. “Of course, Shouta.”

If they were both being honest with themselves, it was nice to be back to their regular way of speaking, though neither were fond as to the reason why.

Aizawa worrying, and possibly something else.

“No, I wasn’t truly considering getting a Quirk Alteration.” She answered, though by the look in his eyes she knew he didn’t believe her.

“You thought about it though, didn’t you? I saw the way you looked at Walker as he spoke about Altering your Sun with Midnight, I know that look, I’ve seen it before.” He spoke, taking a step towards her, something he didn’t typically do in situations like this.

“It was a thought, yes, but I could never Alter my Sun, especially considering they don’t even know if it would end well, Sun and Midnight are dissimilar, there’s too much of a risk.”

“You aren’t one to worry about the risks, so don’t give me that excuse, [L/n]. You thrusted yourself at the Nomu and nearly got bitten in half, so too much of a risk my ass.” The conversation that was unfolding didn’t feel right to [L/n], Aizawa never spoke like this, not to her.

“Shouta, are you alright? I get that you’re worried about my thought process and everything but—”

“I am not alright, my partner genuinely considered Altering her Quirk!”

Shouta never yells.

“Shouta, Dawson’s Emotion did work on you, didn’t it? What did he change, what did you discuss, what did you—” She didn’t have the chance to finish her questions as Aizawa’s scarf flew and wrapped around her mouth.

The look in his eyes, his typically tired eyes looking almost angry, his typically slouched posture now straight.

“And if it did? His Quirk can only change our ideals on things, nothing more and nothing less.” His tired voice was tense, to [L/n], this wasn’t Shouta Aizawa, this was someone else entirely. He was being erratic, he wasn’t sticking to just one emotion. His actions and words were purely chaotic, there was no order to how he was acting whatsoever.

However, she had no idea as to how to handle the situation, if she used her Quirk, Aizawa would get blinded, possibly permanently. So, she did the only thing she could think of, grasp the scarf from around her mouth and use it to pull Aizawa even closer to her so she could knee him in the gut.

Eraserhead was one step ahead as he dropped down, pulling his head straight through his scarf so that all [L/n] managed to capture was the fabric around his neck. Swiveling around her, he rammed his elbow into her back, grabbed her by the back of her head, and threw her to the ground.
