The Sports Festival was in its very first section, the obstacle race that went around the stadium. While Aizawa was dealing with Yamada murdering his ear drums, [L/n] was standing atop the stands, watching the students as they battled and ran. Her eyes however, switched between the race and a specific Pro Hero.

Endeavor.

It wasn't that well known, though there were speculations, and even theories, as to why the two of them weren't partners. After all, Quirk wise, they were a perfect match. After their battle in the Sports Festival years ago, they were scouted by the exact same companies for that reason. They could endure one another's Quirks perfectly with no effort needed. While their Quirks could damage each other, they would have to be full blast and within close proximity for a longer period of time.

That was [L/n]'s downfall however, because their fight ended up relying on their combat. Even then, it was a drawn out battle. She was able to maneuver very easily and avoid his attacks, but couldn't hit him hard enough to do that much damage. Endeavor won, but he didn't escape that battle unscathed, because the suns heat is hotter than flames after all, so despite being the user of Hell Flame, he was burned.

As the obstacle course and eventually Calvary Battle ensued, their eyes met from across the stadium, and Todoroki who was looking up at his, who he despised to call, father, he followed his eyes and realized that Enji Todoroki just wasn't looking at [L/n], that she was looking back. The boys curiosity grew, but his focus returned to the Calvary Battle and stealing Midoriya's headband.

Aizawa noticed this, and since he wasn't really there to announce, Yamada doing all of it just fine on his own, he was looking at the way [L/n] and Enji Todoroki looked at one another. While [L/n] had a kind smile on her face, per usual, Endeavor looked like he was ready to snap, though he tended to look like that at all times. Aizawa didn't know everything about things that went on between the two of them, but he knew more than most.

As the Calvary Battle came to an end, a partial break took place while Endeavor could be seen leaving the stadium, and not too long after, [L/n] did as well. The two met within the building, their demeanors complete opposites.

"So you're using support items now." He stated, glancing at [L/n]'s new hero costume. "What happened to despising them?" The man spoke, the two of them being some of the very few Pro Heroes who didn't use many items of any kind, but now, she was no longer a part of that group.

"I can't let my personal feelings get in the way of my capability to save others." She replied with a cheerful smile and bubbly attitude. "Besides, it wasn't my idea, but I like the result."

"You haven't changed at all, have you? A Pro who's never even tried to aim for the top." Endeavor spoke rather negatively. While neither Pro Hero knew, Todoroki was just around the corner, listening.

"Being a hero isn't about being number one, at least not to me. As long as I can put a smile on someone's face and make sure they're okay, that's all that really matters." Her cheerful voice and kind smile was slowly diminishing as she realized no one else but them was around, or so she thought at least.

"Effort is wasted unless you're known, you know this [L/n]." Endeavor's irritation was beginning to grow, and oddly enough, so was the woman's standing before him.

"You're closed minded Enji, it's as simple as that. I don't like to say negative things, but you're the exception. Because keep in mind, I know what you've done. Just because you're at the top, it doesn't mean anything if people don't feel safe around you. Even your own family."

"You know nothing ab—"

"I don't wanna hear it. I was hoping you'd changed, at least a little, but I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up. I see him every day, Enji, just as you do. I don't feel like doing a deep dive into this, but I swear, if you lay a hand on that child again, I'll do to you what you've done to him." [L/n] turned around to leave, but she felt a flaming hand on her shoulder, halting her from walking away.
