The feeling of cold, marble flooring was the first thing Aizawa felt as he woke up the next morning.
The next thing he felt was soft, warm skin against his own as well as a head against his chest and legs between his.
Looking down, he saw that [L/n] was laying against him, head in his chest and their legs intertwined.
They were also both entirely nude.
However, the nudity isn't what struck Aizawa, rather, it was something he noticed the night before and paid even more attention to now. The scarring his beloved partner had on her body. Her arms weren't scarred up too bad from the night patrol and USJ incident, but her torso scars were a different story.
The movement felt as natural as breathing as his right hand glided down the woman's body and gently caressed the scarred flesh. The memories of that day were not the best, but they were a testament to their strength.
His fingers continued to delicately glide across her scarred skin, his mind recalling that day, as much as he could remember until he fell unconscious. A part of him hurt, seeing those horrific scars on her body, but he knew that they proved her to be a survivor.
The scars were rough and jagged, granted, they were teeth marks that wrapped around her torso like a toddler who bites their sisters finger.
"Idiot." Aizawa mumbled, his voice deep and raspy, both from just waking up and from the events of what had happened last night, that last night also being early that morning. "You could've gotten yourself killed that day-"
"But I didn't Shouta." [L/n]'s voice was soft and quiet, a little raspy as well for the same reasons as Aizawa's. She hadn't yet looked up or moved from her position, she didn't want to.
[L/n] was comfortable.
She hadn't noticed until now that Aizawa's fingertips were gently caressing her torso scars, and if she was being honest with herself, it felt nice.
Finally deciding to look up from her head being buried in Aizawa's chest, the two locked eyes, not saying a word. They never needed to, words weren't a requirement in their partnership, no, they understood each other perfectly without anything ever being spoken. That's just how strong their bond is.
Aizawa's eyes travelled from [L/n]'s eyes to her nose, and eventually her lips. Her nose was fine, but her lip was bruised with a cut being left from the punches he gave her last night, and yet she acted as if it had never happened, that he had never hit her like that, among the many other ways he hurt her yesterday.
"Again, [L/n], I'm sor-"
A swift movement, one that caused Aizawa's eyes to widen ever so slightly in surprise.
His back was now against the floor, the front half of his body being pressed on by [L/n]'s, not even a centimeter between their skin was left as her fingers laced in with his, keeping his arms to his sides as she planted her lips against his.
After many, long seconds, [L/n] pulled away, looking her partner in the eyes as she gave him her signature bubbly, kind, and bright smile. Hands no longer connected, Aizawa brought his hands up to cup the woman's cheeks, the woman whose body was pressed entirely against his, only afloat because of her elbows.
"You're a pain in my ass." Aizawa spoke, his voice still deeper and raspy.
"A good one though." [L/n] replied cheekily, a bright smile still on her face.
Eyes still locked, Aizawa brought her face back to his, their lips connecting once again.
It wasn't romantic, but it was passionate. Seconds in, they stopped, though their lips remained connected.
