As Best Jeanist returned, he watched as the big, burly man swapped the girl from being on his shoulders, to now holding her piggyback style.
"Here, these should work. Might I ask, who's going to take care of her?" The man questioned, handing the hero her clothing.
"Me." Was all that was said as he left the Agency.
"Bai bai Jeanist!" [L/n] proclaimed happily as she and Endeavor left the building.
As the two were walking, the young girl hiccuped, and then she screamed.
"Ahh!" She cried, her body emitting a horrific light and giving off a treacherous heat. The man immediately pulled her around to his front side and held her tight. He felt as if he too, had been transported back in time. To the days when she couldn't control her Quirk at all, and he was the only person she could be around.
It burned him, but only a little. Her Sun wasn't as strong back then, but to any human, they could still go blind and suffer horrendous burns.
"E-Emji, it bu'ns!" The girl sobbed, looking up at the man who hated what he saw.
The whites of her eyes were red, making it obvious that she was blinding and burning her own eyes.
"Shh, it's okay." He spoke softly, seeming like an entirely different person. "It'll be over soon enough." He placed one hand against the back of her head, pushing it gently against his chest while rubbing her back. Guess we're going home now. This'll be just great explaining to the kids. Especially Shoto.
Arriving to his home, it was obvious that Shoto Todoroki had been watching the news. The boy had been waiting at the door.
"Lightbringer?" He asked, his eyes immediately diverting as to not blind himself. I get to watch my dictator and emotionless father attempt to baby Lightbringer. I shouldn't be so excited about something like this, but I am.
"Shoto, [L/n] can't control her Quirk at this age." He stated sternly. "And you haven't worked on your left half enough to be able to stay around her. So don't." His words were harsh, but the boy could tell they were honest.
The man walked into his training room, locking the door behind himself. By the time they were in there, her Quirk was still active, but she was asleep. Damn, I forgot all about the pain of it.
Once in there, he removed her from her oversized hero costume she was swaddled in and began mentally apologizing for seeing her nude, even in these circumstances. He placed her in new clothing, clothing that wouldn't disintegrate when her Quirk is activated.
He kept her in his lap, the man sitting cross-legged on the floor. If he were to set her on the floor, she'd burn her way through the floor and into the actual Earth.
Aizawa and Yamada had made the decision to go to the Todoroki household and check on the young girl. Kayama would've gone, but she had too many papers to take care of. And while Yamada and Aizawa did as well, they chose this option instead.
"I can't believe [L/n] took the hit for him." Yamada spoke up, shaking his head. "Or rather, I can believe her taking the hit. I can't believe he's actually taking care of her."
"As much as I hate to say it, it's only logical. He's the only one who can." Yamada had to think a moment before remembering. It was common knowledge her Quirk was devastating, it wasn't common knowledge however, the difficulties she had with her Quirk prior to attending UA.
"I don't know how she lives with herself some days." Yamada admitted, Aizawa somewhat glaring at him from the side.
"Sensitive topic, don't bring it up. At least not around her." His voice was as monotone as ever, but his eyes spoke volumes.
