"Hizashi!" [L/n] yelled, running up and jump-hugging her close high school friend.
"Hey [L/n]!" Yamada yelled, accidentally using his Quirk and nearly causing the woman's ears to bleed, however, over the numerous years she had known the loud hero she was able to withstand a certain amount of loudness.
"Remember when everyone called them Sirenhead back in our high school days?" Yagi joked, Aizawa only laughing on the inside.
"Well it's true. [L/n]'s the light and I'm the noise, the perfect duo!" He practically cheered.
"Yeah, because a hero who can blind you and a hero who can deafen you are exactly what people love." Aizawa spat, though they knew he didn't mean it in a mean way.
"Well anyways, I better head off. I'll be back once school ends, good luck with the new kids!" [L/n] beamed, smiling to her friends as she turned around to leave, though Aizawa had an odd look on his face. Yamada noticed and wrapped his arms around the males shoulders from behind, knowing what was going through his mind.
"You two just admit it, Eraserhead, Lightbringer, that you may be the best duo this school has ever created." Kayama spoke with her naturally sadistic tone, though the honesty in her voice could be noted as well.
"Whatever." Aizawa stated plainly, [L/n] not adding anything onto his statement at all. Another classic aspect to the twos team up: not talking yet understanding the other perfectly.
And so, the day went on. Aizawa meeting his newest classes, as well as the rest of the teachers while [L/n] did her hero duties.
Then nighttime came around as [L/n] and Aizawa did something they hid from everyone else, or rather, no one knew about because they didn't ask. Anyone who's known Aizawa, especially his students, would say that he looks like some insomniac who never sleeps. When it comes to [L/n], well, they would say she's very charismatic and energetic, however, no one can see her eyes and the bags she's gained. After all, a part of her her costume is very thick sunglasses that stop her from blinding herself with her own Quirk. So instead of sleeping, the two heroes take to the streets to watch over parts of the city that aren't heard of much, the villains that hide in the shadows and do their villainous acts in the darkness where no one can see or hear the victims.
They took down the villains no one would know about, that the mainstream media would never talk about— the kind that would strike a different kind of fear, a disturbance, in the hearts of citizens.
"I don't know why you keep coming with me." Aizawa spoke plainly, walking through the streets with his hands in his pockets aside [L/n]. Per usual, [L/n] didn't say anything. Rather, she simply continued walking aside the underground hero while looking around.
"You should be sleeping, didn't you take care of a hostage situation or whatever today?" And yet again, there was no answer, at least not for a few moments.
"I find it funny that you ask why I don't sleep when you don't either, Shouta." [L/n] retaliated, a grin arising to her face, the quirky and charismatic hero surprised, yet happy, that Aizawa had said full sentences while they did their non-obligatory patrol rather than just the occasional grunt.
Before either could say another word, an array of gunshots went off and the two split up, hiding behind different objects while trying to determine where the shots where coming from and how many people there were.
"That's the first time you two've ever talked! It's so exciting! But it bothers me, you know!? That you always come to this area, it interferes with business, you see! Valuable customers have come to realize that Eraserhead and a friend run these streets and they refuse to do business unless you two are go—"
"Maybe they stopped coming because you talk so much." [L/n] practically spat while rolling her eyes. "I thought Hizashi was vocal but damn, you don't know when to shut up." [L/n] stated factually, stretching as she came out of hiding from behind a garbage can in the alley way the group was now in.
"Exposing yourself!? Really!? Then let me expose you to my bullets!" As the maniac spoke, guns of all shapes and sizes appeared aside and above him, dozens upon dozens, and within a seconds time they fired rapidly towards her.
"It's a shame you're so stupid." [L/n] sighed, her body instantly radiating a bright light that would blind a normal person in a matter of seconds, the light also being an insane source of heat that smelted nearly every bullet coming her way, the liquified metal from each of the shells making a puddle on the concrete ground. Of course, the few bullets that made their way through grazed her skin, leaving what looked like small cuts on the side of her neck and one on her left thigh.
"What the fu—" Before the man had a chance to finish his sentence, there was a moment where the light vanished, a moment where he thought he could use his Quirk again, but a pair of red eyes met his and he found himself completely unable to activate his Quirk at all.
"Your own cockiness and blatant ignorance got you in this position." Aizawa spoke flatly, his scarf completely encasing the mans body, except his head. "Now what business are you talking about?"
"Like I'd ever fucking tell you!" The man yelled manically, Aizawa sighed. I don't have time to waste on this idiot. He gave [L/n] a look, the hero immediately knowing what to do.
"Tell the man." [L/n] demanded, slowly walking towards the man, her bodies brightness slowly but surely increasing as she did so, the heat as well. "Unless you'd like to see nothing but an endless black abyss for the rest of your life."
"What kind of hero threatens someone like that, huh!?" The nameless villain yelled in his maniacal voice, one that he never seemed to waver from.
"The kind who doesn't have time for your bullshit!" [L/n] proclaimed with a happy grin on her face, a kind one that was rather contradictory to her words. That did him in, the second she smiled the heat increased and the brightness became unbearable.
"Fucking hell, fine!" [L/n]'s body stopped radiating light, and as a result, heat, and the villain began to speak, not wanting to melt or go blind.
"We have people delivering us things, but we don't really know what they are. All we know is that they're extremely valuable to the client." He admitted, Aizawa and [L/n] sharing a glance before the former tightened his scarfs hold around the mans body. "Specifics."
"That's all I know, I sw-swear!" He yelled, choking as the pressure on his chest made it hard to breathe.
"I'll take him to the cops, you look around." Aizawa spoke, sounding somewhat bored but the look in his eyes showed that he felt at least somewhat concerned. [L/n] simply nodded before beginning to walk away while Aizawa walked off with the man wrapped up tightly in his scarf.
Shouta seems more talkative tonight, Hizashi also told me he didn't expel anyone this year. The [h/c] haired woman sighed, though smiled as well. Maybe he has hope in this years class, maybe someone changed his mind. [L/n] paused her own thoughts as she arrived behind a bar, a seemingly abandoned bar at that. However, she could faintly hear voices. Deciding to investigate further, she maneuvered her way around and slightly upwards to look through a rather small window.
Just as her eyes glanced within the bar, she felt herself falling, falling into what she only got to catch a slight glimpse of: a black and purplish portal— a warp gate.
As the black haired man made his way back to where he and [L/n] departed he sighed as he saw that she wasn't anywhere close. "Guess I'll have to find her." With that, he began to walk around, surveying the area for both villains and his high school companion, and what everyone referred to as "his partner". Truth was, the two heroes never decided that they were partners, it was something that just happened. Their Quirks worked well together. While [L/n] would use hers to blind and stun the enemy, Aizawa could get in close and use his once she stopped hers to temporarily erase their Quirk. The battle was a wrap after that.
Their Quirks also made [L/n] Aizawa's perfect enemy. Aizawa could never erase [L/n]'s Quirk because he could never look at her, he'd go blind if he did.
While Aizawa walked and surveyed, looking for both his companion and villains, a memory came to mind between himself and [L/n] from high school, one that he hadn't recalled in a long, long, long time. The memory that caused them to be able to understand each other without words, the one that brought them closer, even if it didn't seem like it.
