~Fuli's PoV~
A week after Haraka's death we were climbing up a tall ridge. When we got to the top, we all flopped down from exhaustion.

"Hey, what's that?" Winga (I totally didn't forget about her LOL; JK I did) asked, pointing towards the horizon. I look where she was pointing and lept to my feet at the familiar rocky spire scraping the sky in the distance.

"That's Pride Rock! We're almost home!" I cried out happily. Just then, the scent of blood, death, and sweat-soaked lion's reached us from behind.

"The rogues! They're at the base of the ridge! We need to run, now!" Kopa roared.

~Imani's PoV~
Fuli's euphoria at being almost home vanishes as quickly as morning mist on a scorching hot day. We pick up the remaining five cubs and begin running down the hill towards the canyons ahead.

We were at the border when a body slammed into me, knocking Jua from my jaws. I clamber to my paws and turn to get my own mother's claws on my face.

"How dare you run away from your destiny as future ruler if our pride!" She snarls as we collide into a flurry of claws and teeth.

"Well, maybe I didn't like our way of life!" I spat back. I suddenly freeze at the squeals of pain and while around as Chullun screams a name: "FULI!!!"

Fuli is covered in blood, her shoulder is in ribbons and my father is biting into her belly. We can only watch helplessly as my father raises his paw to deliver the death blow...

When a purplish-gray female hyena plows into him and the rest of the rouges are attacked by her clan.

~Jasiri's PoV~
Once the rouges had been driven off I turned to the group. There were two lions; an egret; a black cat; a fluffy, light-colored leopard and they were all surrounding a cheetah with the Mark of the Guard. Mark of the Guard!?! I whirl to my mate Janga and judging by his face, he's seen it too.

"Go fond Kion and tell him we must see him. It's urgent. Dibt tell him its Fuli yet." I say and he runs off. I pad up to her. "Fuli? Can you hear me?"

"J... J... Jasiri?" Came her weak response. "Is that y... you?"

"Yeah... Don't worry, let's get you to safety." I tell her, letter her lean on me. Then to utter surprise she lets out two, bird-like chirps!

My entire clan's jaws drop when the five clearly hybrid cubs emerge tentatively out of the bushes. Her companions grab them and I grab the smallest cub and we head from my clan's den camp.
