Ellie:"I don't hear a difference." he says and I shake my head in disapproval
"The difference is she owns the song now. The other one she didn't. Pay attention." I scold him.
"Gosh you're feisty when it comes to your Taylor Swift music." he jokes pulling me against his chest. The butterflies that seem to always be near when I am around Hayden, fill up my stomach. We are sitting on my bed and we're listening to my music playlist while I am trying to teach Hayden the difference between Taylor Swift's original "Love Story" and the one she just released "Love story (Taylor version)".
"How in the world am I dating a guy that had no knowledge of Taylor Swift." I ask him playfully.
"Because I'm hot." he says as he leans down to kiss me. "And because I'm an amazing kisser." he says kissing me again.
"You got that right." I giggle.
"I love how comfortable you've become around me." he says. "And I also love how confident you were at the party last week." He teases. Every time he gets a chance to bring it up he does. Although I'm not as embarrassed as I was when I hid in the bathroom. When we walked out, Haydens friends gave me a round of applause. Literally clapped. They also made fun of me for not cursing. Apparently it's unbelievable for someone to have never cursed before and they spent the rest of the night trying to get me to. Hayden called it adorable how innocent I am so I don't mind. After the party we went up to Haydens flat and spent the rest of the night cuddling and watching the telly in his bed.
"You're never going to let me live that down are you?" I ask while laughing.
"Never." he says just as the song ends. He surprises me by standing up and grabbing my phone to press repeat and then extends his hand to me.
"Dance with me Ellie." he tells me and I feel my face heat. I stand up and grab his hand as he pulls me to the center of my small bedroom.
"I've never danced with anyone before." I shyly admit.
"Neither have I, but we can probably figure it out, huh?" He says grabbing my right hand putting it behind his neck and grabbing my left and interlocking it with his right.
See the lights, see the party, the ball gowns
See you make your way through the crowds
And say "Hello"
Little did I know
We stand there and sway to the music, every once in a while he takes my hand and spins me before we return to swaying.
Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting, all there's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story, baby, just say "Yes"
I quietly sing the words as we continue to dance. Abruptly, Hayden lets go of my hand and moves over to where my phone lays on the bed and pauses the song.
"What are you doing?" I ask as he rejoins me and begins to sway again.
"I want you to sing. You sound way better than Taylor Swift ever could." He tells me and I laugh, thinking he's joking but he continues to stare at me like he really believes it.
