chapter thirteen

Hayden:

Waking up with Ellie has to be one of my favorite things ever. Her bed is pretty tiny and with my long, lanky ass figure, we always end up with her basically lying on top of me. I know it doesn't sound comfortable for someone to be lying on top of you for the majority of the night, but trust me it is. Or maybe it's because my said someone is a total smoke show. Either way, I'm not complaining.

I wasn't expecting Ellie to say yes to meeting my parents. I know we haven't been together long, but I know I love her. I may not be ready to admit that to her yet but I know I love her. I am with her the majority of the time, and when I'm not I am always thinking about her. Always. I even just went out with a few of my mates to the pubp a couple of nights ago and didn't even stay an hour before I called Ellie and asked if I could come over. I got shit from my mates but cuddling up with Ellie was a lot more fun than getting drunk and having a terrible hangover the next day.

I normally hate getting up early, I still do if I wake up alone, but today I woke up twenty minutes before the first alarm, one of many that Ellie set. What did I spend those twenty minutes on? Staring at the beautiful blonde that is lying on my chest. I swear she sleeps like she's dead. And tiny snores fall from her slightly parted lips. When the alarm is finally going off, I pretend to be asleep because I love the way she always wakes me up. I feel her shuffling around before she grabs her phone and turns the alarm off, and I assume cancels the others she'd set just in case she didn't hear the first one. Then she scoots up to the top of the bed right where I lay my head on the pillow and leaves small kisses all over my face, then lastly leaves a peck on my lips. I smile and lift my head to attach my lips to her again, only this time it's not as quick. Eventually, when I pull back, Ellie's lips are a bit swollen and a deeper shade of pink. She is breathless as I lean forward.

"Good Morning baby," I say and kiss the side of her face.  "As much as I would love to continue this, we have plans today Miss, so please keep those lips off of mine!" I state and she starts to giggle, swatting at my chest.

"Okay, I'll remember that later" she states and gets up, walking to the bathroom as I shout admitting I was just kidding.

My mom called shortly after we woke up  told me to be at home by ten, and Isabella Thomas is no one to play with so we will be there by ten. She also said my dad had to fly to Paris last minute for a meeting with a potential business partner.

"How did your dad find a flight at the last minute? I bet he got a terrible seat." Ellie says as I tell her my father won't be joining us.

"Well, I'd say he has a pretty good seat considering he owns his own jet," I say with a chuckle and her mouth falls open.

"Wow." She says. "Your dad's business must be really successful." She says

"Well funny enough" I begin "It's actually my mom's business. It was her father's and when he passed away when she was in her twenties she inherited it all. My dad was working for my grandad when he and my mum started dating and so when she got the company he helped her run it. Now she sends him to do all the work and she only comes in for important meetings and makes the big decisions." I laugh. My mum is a total badass and I'm in awe of her. Most people doubted her but she proved them all wrong and became the CEO of one of the UK's biggest companies at the age of 24. She owns so many companies I can't even remember all of them and I am on the board of the business. My friend just assumes that I am getting money from my parents, which technically they aren't wrong. My parents did buy my car and pay for my apartment, but since I am on the board of Chapmen Inc., I get paid a deep salary every month and all I have to do is show up to a couple of meetings every few months in a nice suit. It is a big responsibility for a 19-year-old, and it is a little scary to think that one day this business will be all mine, but I don't like to think about the future. Right now I am living my life with Ellie and having a great time.
