"okay boys" randy states to the four boys sitting in front of him. "wait- where's zach?"

"late as usual" jack said crossing his arms as randy heavily sighed.

"he won't even answer his phone, that little bitch" corbyn scowled.

"okay corbyn how about we calm down yeah?" jonah suggested. "great, he'll be here randy"

"well he better get here soon, i was trying to introduce your new partner so it looks like we're doing this without him here" randy shrugged. "this is ellie, you already know this but she is the one you're collaborating with"

a blonde girl who looks around their age pops out from behind randy causing their attention to shift to her. she awkwardly stood waving to them quickly without eye contact.

"hi, i'm ellie it's great to meet you guys" the blonde had said still not making eye contact.

corbyn being the first to pick up on her obvious nervousness stood up and walked over to her holding out his hand for her to shake.

"i'm corbyn, that's jonah, jack, daniel, and you will meet zach soon, but we can't wait to work with you" the boy smiled at her.

ellie smiled back at him as she finally made eye contact, "um thanks i can't wait either"

"so today you guys will just really get to know each other and start brainstorming ideas for a song okay? i'll be back in about an hour i have a quick meeting" randy said as he excused himself out of the room leaving ellie and the boys alone.

"hi i'm here i know i'm late- oh randy isn't even here" zach stops as he ran through the door making all eyes go to him.

"randy left about five minutes ago and this is ellie, the girl we are working with now" daniel told him. "but you're late, again"

"i'm sorry i know, but hi ellie i'm zach" the brunette greeted as ellie waved in return.

"so ellie i've heard some of your songs and they're really good" jonah told her.

"thank you so much i'm glad you liked them" ellie beamed. "i'm going to be honest i was very nervous coming here because y'all are such professionals at this and i'm new to the game"

"oh don't be we don't bite or anything" daniel assured her.

"well zach tends to" jack shrugged receiving a hit on the shoulder from the younger boy.

"shut up i do not!" zach glared at him before turning back to ellie. "no i swear i don't"

ellie laughed, "don't worry i believe you"

ellie shifted a little awkwardly since she was still standing in the middle of the room. "hey come sit here" corbyn gestured as he pulled up a chair next to him for her to sit.

"uh thank you" ellie bashfully smiled trying to hide the blush on her cheeks. "so did you all listen to my music or is jonah just a stalker"

"stalker, definitely stalker" corbyn joked making everyone but jonah laugh.

"no no no, corbyn listened to your songs too and came into the studio talking about them" jonah stated.

ellie raised her eyebrows looking at the boy next to her who had his mouth open in shock. "you like my music huh?"

corbyn turned back to the blonde girl, "you know what i am not ashamed, i do like your music, but my girlfriend loves it even more"

"girlfriend?" ellie questioned as her eyebrows furrowed. "you have a girlfriend?"

"yeah her name is arianna, she's actually signed to atlantic records too"

"oh she sings also?" ellie asked as corbyn nodded with a smile growing on his face from talking about her.

"they've been together for almost a year, and they're all lovey dovey all the time" zach said. "they make me want to puke"

"what? we are so not that lovey dovey couple" corbyn argued as his band mates tilted their heads at him. "since when?"

"since forever, y'all were like that way before you were dating" jack explained. "it was freaky"

"whatever" corbyn rolled his eyes as he tried to hide his idiotic grin.

"so what about this song? what's the plan?" ellie changed the subject.

"well i think we should have you choose since it goes on your album" corbyn gently nudged her shoulder. "what ideas do you have?"

"i have a few things written down in my notebook if you want to go over some and then just decide from there?" ellie asked them.

"yeah let's do that, jack get the white claws i know it's going to be a long night" daniel advised the younger boy who didn't hesitate to go get some.

"so y'all just drink white claws when writing?" ellie asked the remaining three boys.

"it's a new thing we've been trying out, and it works so yeah pretty much" corbyn shrugged.

"well that's very creative" ellie voiced.

"oh we know, but it's how we've gotten some of our songs done on the album so" corbyn shrugged crossing his arms.

before ellie could say anything jack burst through the door with two cases of white claws in his hands. "i forgot i had them in my car!"

"you had them sitting...in your car?" zach questioned as his eyebrows furrowed.

"i always come prepared zachary" jack quickly said before setting the cases down.

"mango? really?" ellie raised her eyebrows at the boy who gasped.

"yes mango it is the best flavor out there i will not tolerate any slander, don't even start, now drink the mango flavored beverage ellie" jack insisted with slight offense from ellie's comment.

"yo jack chill" jonah laughed patting the younger boy's shoulder.

"sorry about him" corbyn directed at ellie.

the blonde shrugged, "no it's fine, now let's just get started on this song"
