The snow had melted from the hill and I was laying comfortably on the ground. The fresh smelling grass tickled my cheek as I pressed it against it. I breathed deeply keeping my eyes closed. The sun was warming my face but it was still cold enough outside for me to pull a sweater over my clothes.

It would only be a month until we'd have to go back home. An unsettling thought. I wasn't sure how Reg felt about it either, since telling him about what happened with his father in detail. I remember what he once told me; That place, it's not just bad memories you know?

It's not all bad...

It sure doesn't feel like that anymore.

"What are you thinking about?" Sirius hummed, laying on the grass like me.

"Nothing important," I lie bluntly. He didn't press further. He picked a newly grown daisy from the ground and twirled it between his thumb and pointy finger.

"What about you? What's up with you?" I say softly, turning my face around so we're face to face.

"I'm thinking about homework," he pouts and it draws a chuckle from me.

"Liar," I laugh lightly, even though lying to him myself mere seconds ago.

Thoughts, so private. The thought of someone poking around in mine is terryfing. So personal and raw... so unlovable.

"Is James and Marlene in quidditch practise?" I ask, thinking about a discussion topic.

"Yeah," Sirius stated simply. I go over his sharp features. He didn't look much like Reg, the color of their hair was the same, but Sirius's hair was straight and longer. The hair was combed neatly and tucked behind his ears. The wind blew it to a mess, but Sirius was quick to finger through it to get it back to it's place.

"Why didn't you ever go to quidditch tryouts? You're not bad at flying, and I'd thought you'd embrace anything that would make you more popular," I insinuate. The corner of his mouth goes up at my suggestion.

"I'm already popular. And why would I spend my time sweating and rolling in the mud when there are loads of girls begging for my attention," he brags. This time I snort loudly. I know he was kidding, but his ego was getting slightly too big for him.

"For a guy that talks a big game of picking up girls, sure haven't seen you with them that much. Sure there are flocks of girls surrounding you and your clique but have you actually been with any of them," I grin at him. He raises his brows at me in surprise.

"If you must know, yes. Yes I've been with them," he answers, pressing the word been same as me. I was caught off guard by that confession, not really believing all that talk.

"What about Marleen? She's a pretty girl, and I think she might like you," I say bluntly. She really was pretty. She had an calming effect and she was kind. She seemed to always be smiling. But she wasn't a bore either, she was more often than not, privy to the marauders plans to prank their co-students.

"No, not her. I haven't gotten myself into anything serious with girls, nor do I want to. And I don't want to mess our friendship," he shakes the thought off. I nod in understandment.

"Tell her that once she confesses her feelings for you," I press. He lookes at me confused.

"What makes you think she likes me like that?" He asks.

I smile at his foolishness, it was rather obvious in my opinion. "The way she lookes at you." There were other things, like she always chooses to sit next to him and how she can't help but giggle a little louder in his precense. But I don't bother to share all those things with Sirius.
