makayla pov:
the next morning i was awoken but lily and marlene shaking me awake with amused looks.
"did you do this?" marlene asked while laughing, i put on a fake confused and annoyed looks
"so what marls, and why am i awake??" i rubbed my eye and when i removed my hands, i once again put on a surprised look and a 'wtf happened' look.
lily stifled her laughter, "are you sure it wasn't you?" i laughed and shook my head, leaning down to touch the snow.
"it's not cold? how is it not cold?" okay so i'm a fantastic actress, like bruh hollywood come get me while you can.
lily shrugged, "probably some sort of charm, come on let's go see if the boys had something to do with this"
"let's be honest they probably did" lily and i agreed with marlenes statement and i got dressed quickly, following the other two girls down the stairs where all the boys where already.
"did you guys do this?" now let's be honest here people, the boys are that good of actors, remus is, but the other three are so easy to read, it's almost sad.
so that's why i was surprised when they all managed to pull of both confused and annoyed faces, "no?? but this is a fantastic idea what the fuck! how come we didn't think of this? who did it? are they gonna take out spot as the pranking masters?" okay all but sirius.
lily and marlene sat there with unamused looks and one eyebrow raised.
sirius winced, "too much?" remus sighed while smacking his forehead.
"just a bit mate" james sympathetically patted his back before turning to his girlfriend. "and we don't know what you're talking about lils, we didn't do anything"
i looked at remus with a look of 'these fucking idiots'.
"how you guys don't get caught absolutely baffles me" i threw my hands up and walked out of the common room with the full intent of getting coffee. on the way there i passed a couple of first years playing and making snow angels and snowmen, a VERY VERY pissed of filtch, and a couple of professors talking.
i sat down at the gryffindor table and the others walked in shortly after, i exchanged looks with the boys and tipped my cup of poly juice potion as to say bottoms up.
i drank it in one go, everyone followed after, lily and marlene not noticing out stares. we made it so you couldn't taste the potion when you drank it so nobody noticed a thing till they started changing.
we told the house elves to randomize it, so when i got lily's potion, and turned into her, i thanked the gods because i did not want to be dumbledore.
the boys weren't as fortunate. neither was lily, bless her soul.
"WHY ARE YOU ME? AND WHY AM I DUMBLEDORE?" lily's voice was heard and i wanted to die laughing, instead i screamed.
"WHY AM I YOU? WHAT THE FUCK" i jumped up and looked at my hands in confusion.
mcgonagol was pissed. and rightfully so, but still pissed. she looked like steam was about to come out of her ears.
"ALL STUDENTS REPORT TO MADAM POMFREY IF YOU HAVE BEEN EFFECTED BY THE POTION, NOBODY DRINK THE PUMPKIN JUICE!" she screamed and everyone who was changed all went into the snowy hall and and to the infirmary.
"this is insane, the people responsible might even be expelled!" lily, or who i assume is lily based off the voice, said. i stayed cool and agreed with a pissed off look.
"this is so annoying! this isn't even like a fun prank it's just annoying" i complained, waiting in line to get the counter potion.
after an hour everyone was changed back, and while i could tell mcgonagol wanted to bring the marauders and me in she couldn't, there was simply no evidence that we did anything wrong.
in the end we all got the day off so everyone was celebrating and lily, marlene and i decided to go to the library to study a bit.
"we have a day off, and you psychos decide to go to the library" james said in distaste, making me scoff.
"yes, now unless you plan to study with us, than you can leave" lily said with a stern yet loving tone. sirius leaned back in his chair and shrugged.
"yea you know what we'll study"
i looked at him with a surprised and confused look, "what? are you feeling okay? did the poly juice potion affect your brain cells?" i put my hand on his forehead jokingly and he slapped it away with a grunt.
"i'm fine asshole, yes i'm serious. well obviously i am, but yea i'll study" i punched him for the stupid pun that only he laughed at.
"you're annoying. you know what james is right, let's do something fun. that's a sentence i never thought i'd say" marlene looked appalled at what she said, but none the less i agreed and it took a bit of convincing to get remus and lily to stop studying to hang out with us at the lake, in a little secluded spot.
"you know this would be a perfect spot to kill someone" i said out of the blue after a minute of silence.
"what the fuck makayla" remus looked over at me concerned. i shrugged and stuck my feat into the somewhat cold water.
"i can't believe we have like a two months left of school." peter muttered.
"i know right. it's so weird to me" sirius said with a frown.
"we're all gonna hang out this summer right?" lily asked. i thought about home and grew anxious. what was i going to do? i didn't exactly have a home that i could go to.
"-and with sirius and makayla staying with me it'll be easier" james said, pulling me out of my thoughts.
"what?" i asked with a tilt of my head.
james looked at me like i was insane, "sirius is living with me? so are you." i didn't want to cry but i felt a pressure behind my eyes.
"this summer is going to be so awesome with the three of us living together" sirius whooped and laughed. i locked eyes with james and blinked back tears before smiling and mouthing 'thank you'.
he just winked and turned to talk to peter and remus.
i smiled at my new family and thought of how little could go wrong in my life. not with these idiots by my side.
i watched as james snuck up behind sirius and pushed him into the cold water.
"YOU BITCH! MY HAIR!" i laughed along with the others and realized that i was gonna be fine this summer.
AN: that was so cheezy lol, but yes hoped you guys enjoyed and i'm really sorry about my lack of uploading, i'm on summer vacay so should be easier.
