SIRIUS's POV:

I sighed, my head in my hands as I watched Makayla laugh at something Lily had said. She had the most beautiful laugh ever.

"You're staring" James said in a sing-song voice.

"Shut up" I mumbled, my face heating up as I looked down to my assignment I was supposed to be doing for Transfiguration.

"You're whipped man" James laughed from the side of his mouth, trying to not draw attention to us.

"And you're one to talk" Remus chuckled, turning around to face us. Fricken werewolf hearing.

I let out a bark of a laugh at the face James made. Suddenly the bell rang and we all packed up our stuff.

Makayla was one of the first out the door, arms linked with Marlene and Lily.

"Hey do you think Marlene has a crush of Makayla?" I pondered as I watched Marlene lean into Makayla's touch. Not that I blame her if she does.

"I don't know, it's plausible" Remus said, tilting his head to the side and squinting his eyes.

"She's straight, even if Marlene does" Peter squeaked out. I hummed.

"True"

MAKAYLAS POV:

I giggled as Alice did an impression of Slughorn, down to the way he walks. I let out a full laugh when she tripped over an out jetted stone.

I had to go to herbology next, so I broke off from the girls and linked arms with Remus and we walked down to the greenhouse

I liked herbology, but my mind was clouded at the moment. I had an idea for a song. It was a melody that I didn't want to lose, so I took out some parchment and scribbled the tune.

Remus gave me a look as I furrowed my eyebrows and quickly scribbled it down as to not forget.

(Time skip cuz class sucks!!)

During dinner I took one look at the food and decided I couldn't eat. Actually I probably could, but I didn't want to. Before you think it, I'm not anorexic. You have to be skinny to be anorexic.

"Hey did you guys hear about the Christmas ball coming soon?" Lily asked us excitedly, because there was never a decided day, it's December 1st.

"Ew" I scrunched my nose. What? I hate dances. Well I would love to go to a dance, but nobody has ever asked me. So I normally just stay in the dorm room reading and eating chocolate and drinking tea.

"Oh come on! You can't boycott(AN: i really don't know what that means but I heard it used like this so comment what it means plz) all dances" Marlene said with a roll of her eyes. I shrugged and took a ship of my water.

"I'm not that hungry guys. I found a new beat I want to try out. Peace" I said simply before walking to the Gryffindor common room.

Before I could say the password, the portrait opened and I was knocked off my feet, but was caught before I hit the ground.

"Oh my god I'm so sorry" a deep voice said. I looked up and any words about to come out died in my throat. Shit he was...for lack of better terms, hot.

"It's fine" I stuttered out, a blush spreading across my face. The stranger gave me a million dollar smile, his blue eyes boring into me.

"I'm Tyler Cane," he said after a few seconds of silence. I gave him a shy smile before saying.

"Makayla. Nice to meet you" i wanted to curl up in a ball. This guy was too cute to be talking to me.

"Uh I know,"he said sheepishly, "we have had potions together sense first year"

"We have?" I asked dumbly, "shit sorry I never noticed you till now" I chuckled. He let out a laugh.

"That's fine. Hey do you wanna maybe go to Hogsmead together this weekend?" He ran his hands through his brown hair.

"Um sure. Yea that'll be nice."I scratched my neck awkwardly, it's not like I didn't want to go, I just don't want to date. I quickly moved out of his way. "Ill see you then" I waved shyly before walking into the common room and up to my room.

When I got to the sanctuary that is my room, I took a minute to process what just happened. Did I just get asked out?

I almost wasn't going to tell the girls, but I had to And well, that reacted just as I expected.

"OH MY GOD!! YOU GOT A DATE!!!" Lily just about screamed, grabbing Marlene and Alices hands and doing a weird dance.

"Dude, it's not that big of a deal" I said, pretending she damaged my eardrums(she probably did)

"A) don't dude me and B) this is a huge deal Makayla!! You don't get asked out ever and he's pretty cute" Lily bristled.

"Hey! And you have a boyfriend" I smirked deviously. She gave me a glare, before trying to grab me.

I yelped before running down the stairs and into the common room, spotting the boys sitting on the couch.

"James control your girlfriend!" I squealed out as I jumped onto the love seat, sitting on both Remus and Sirius.

"What's going on?" James as he grabbed her hand.

"Makayla has a date this weekend" Alice said from the top of the stairs.

"Duuude" I whined out. I was going to tell them, I was! Promise. But they can get...well overprotective.

"With who?!?" Remus asked from under me. I squished myself more in between them so I could see them both.

"Tyler Cane, Gryffindor, our year" I said simply. I failed to notice the look of utter sadness on Sirius's face.

"That tool?" James jumped up with a frown. Like I said, protective. He's honestly like the older brother I've always wanted.

"He just asked me out! I didn't want to say no, I felt awkward, and you know I can't make quick decisions when I'm awkward" I whined again, burying my face into Sirius's side.

"Look just go on the date and say you didn't have a good time, or you might actually have a good time, you never know" Remus said, not even looking up from his book. I shrugged before sighing.

"Hmmm yea. What's the worse thing that can happen?" I rationalized.

AN: i know, a weird place to stop but I needed to update !!

All I can say is finals are literally next week so I'm dying!!! I hate school. Yes I'm in school, I'm not saying my age yet.

Should I do a Q&A with my characters? Like have them all answer questions? Please give me feedback!!

Also I love your guy's comments, they make my day honestly, and they help me remember to update. Which I am not very good at. I seriously need an updating schedule.
