I told her my name and said, "It's nice to meet ya."

And then she handed me a bottle of water filled with tequila.

I already know she's a keeper

Just from this one small act of kindness

---

A few weeks after all the misfortune happened to me, I decided to take a break and have some fun. What? I am 23 and I deserve it, I was suppress from having my teenage years because of school and I had to work afterwards.

My idea of having a break is go on a pub and met somebody. I called some of my so called friends and they were up to it. Sean said he would brought some of his friends with him and when we saw them we were shocked to see they were all girls.

I looked at Sean like telling him he did a good job today.

“Well guys, this are my friends. Chloe, Ellie, Samantha and Alecia.” Sean pointed every one of the girls but one girl got my attention.

“Girls, these are my pals. Nate, Jensen, Patrick and Thomas.” He said pointing at us. We said our heys and hellos to one another.

We went inside the pub and took our seats. Luckily the girl that I was eying for sat beside me.

“Hey, Thomas right?” She said.

“Yeah, and you are Ellie right?” I asked her back.

“Yeah.” She said.

“Nice to meet you Ellie.”

“Nice to meet you too Thomas.” It started awkward but a few drinks at hand helped us out, we kind of talked a lot.

She told me she was single and a little bit older than me. She works as a receptionist at a company she doesn’t want to tell me. She got a sister who is younger than her and lives with her and she lives at the same building as I, and the same floor too.

After some drinks, the girls danced and sang to the song that was playing in the background. Well for the lads, we don’t want to so we drank some more. It lasted an hour when the girls came back again on our table. We gave them drinks and I could tell I was a little drunk because my words was beginning to slur.

I told my friends that I should head home and to my surprise, Ellie said her goodbye to them to. She said that we had the same building might as well share the cab.

We got out of the pub and I assisted her as we walked down the street to get a cab. It took a few silly laughs and few cabs before we could take one. When we were inside the cab, we still laugh but I didn’t know why. I was just laughing because she was and the next thing I knew we were holding and looking at each other. It got a little out of hand but one thing led to another and I was kissing her mouth.
