It was our fourth month anniversary and I was planning on cooking something for Ellie. I went to the groceries to buy the ingredients for tonight’s menu. I even bought a bottle of red wine.

I paid all of it and went to a café near the groceries. It is the kind of night that is just too cold and I am craving for a cinnamon bread. I bought a cup of coffee and a piece of cinnamon for takeout.

After going into the café, I dropped by a flower shop near the café. I had ordered a bouquet of roses and a bag of rose petals. When I was about to get out of the flower shop I saw Ellie kissing my friend Nate on the other side of the street.

I blinked many times and look at them and made sure I didn’t just imagined things. I just stood there looking at them and saw them got in to a cab. I got a cab and made the driver follow them. I also called Ellie.

“Hey babe, where are you?” I restrained myself from telling her I saw them.

“I’m just at the office babe. I’ll be home a little bit past 9. Where are you?” She said not stammering at all like she does this every time.

“I am just getting some groceries.” I said which is true. I did get some groceries.

“Okay babe, I’ll hang up now. There is a costumer coming in. See you later babe. I love you.” She said. I couldn’t say I love you too to her. Not this time.

Their cab stopped in front of our condo building. It was surprising that they just went in.

After I saw them got into the elevator I went to the front desk and asked them if I could see the floor they went in the cctv camera. They said yes and I saw them just went in Ellie’s apartment.

Why is she doing this? What is going on? I asked myself. I tried to deny that they were hooking up. Not with Nate. Why are they doing this kind of stuff? Is she not happy with me?

I went up to my apartment and I didn’t know what to do. I tried to make up a plan.

I planned everything up and decided that I will end up everything with Ellie tonight.
