I looked at the beautiful girl beside me and I can’t believe this is happening. It was all surreal. I never thought that all these years I would end up with the girl I meet in grade school.
She is my first love and my best friend. She brings out the best of me. She is always there for me. Even when we had broken up. I was the one who left her.
“I promise to sweep you off your feet even when we are old. I promise to hold your hand and make memories with you every day. I promise to fall in love with you every day for the rest of our lives. I know that I will keep making mistakes but I know you would always understand me and would still love me just the same. I love you Elizabeth Nina Collin and I will until the rest of our lives.”
“It’s true that love works in mysterious ways. I promise to love you forever and fall in love with you like we were in eighth grade. I won’t leave you even if your hair is gone or even if your memory fades. I love you Michael Thomas Parker and I just want to add that I am not angry with you. You know, it’s my thing calling your whole name when I am angry at you or even pissed at you. Just clearing things out.” She smiled at me.
Looking at her in that moment was just mind blowing. I was caught up in the moment and the next thing I knew Nina and I are kissing. It was our first kiss as husband and wife. Everything happened all at once. I can say that Nina and me are lucky because we found love right where we are.
