Making Up

Kara came in, I looked at her and then went back to work. "You okay" She asked. All I wanted to do was hug and kiss Kara, but I didn't want to hurt her again. "I'm fine," I said, Soldering two wires together. Kara wrapped her arm around me. "Please don't, I don't want to hurt you," I said. "You won't, I know it was an accident." Kara reminded me, tears were starting to form in my eyes. "Im unstable" I pleaded, trying to get Kara to let go, she didn't. "What do you mean unstable?" Kara asked. "Call Bruce'' I said, Kara let go.

I heard her pull out her phone, my heart was ready to beat out of its chest. "I'm sorry" Kara said. I stood up and she hugged me again. I put my arms around her too, lightly. "It's okay Jason, you wont hurt me" Kara reminded me. She pulled away. Kara took my wrist and put my hand on her neck. "Do it, hurt me" Kara said. "I, I" I stuttered. "See, you won't" Kara said, I pulled my hand away and kissed her.

Kara's lips still tasted sweet, just like the first time we kissed. "I love you, I'm sorry" I said. "I love you too, and I forgive you." Kara said. "It's late, we should get some sleep," Kara said. I nodded and reluctantly climbed into bed with her.

Kara Pov

I woke up the next morning, The blanket wasn't covering me, I turned to say good morning to Jason, he wasn't there. I stood up and I found him lying on the floor, wrapped in the blanket, sweating. I gently woke him up. "Huh" He said, sleepy. "Hey, it's Kara, '' I said softly. Jason stood up and so did I, Jason was rubbing his eyes. "I, uh" He sputtered and sighed. "You want breakfast?" I asked. Jason nodded. I went and started to make pancakes. Jason sat down and started to work on what he was doing last night.

"What is that?"
"Something to help me run faster"
"Thats cool"
"I saw Savitar, found out who he is."
"Who is he"
"Me, not actually me, he's a time remnant I created in our final battle."
"That explains why he always can beat you, he remembers it"
"Yes, how was Midvale"
"It was good, I remembered my first case, my friend was murdered in high school, I caught his killer"
"Good job"
"I have to ask though, why were you on the floor"
"Old military habits I guess. When I came back the beds were too soft. I slept on the floor, still do when I get too stressed."
"I'll always be there to help you through it"
"Thank you"
"Bruce told me, what he found out when you were there"
"What that I have Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Schizophrenia"
"Yeah, are you gonna take any medication"
"No, never needed it before, don't need it now"
"What about a therapist"
"I believe the word you looking for is shrink"
"I'm just trying to say, it helps to talk about it"
"Maybe, Im fine"
"Okay"

I gave Jason a stack of pancakes and he took a bite without syrup, and went back to work. After a few minutes. "I got it," He said. "Congrats'' I complimented. Jason didn't look too good. "Yeah, I think i'm gonna go lie down" Jason said and he walked off, but he collapsed halfway to the bed. I called Alex. "Can you get here, Jason collapsed" I asked. "Fly him here" Alex said. I hung up and flew Jason to the DEO, even though he didn't want me to fly.

A few minutes later Jaspn was in the med bay. "This isn't necessary," Jason said. "You collapsed, that's serious" Alex argued. "I just had a panic attack, I'm fine" Jason said. "You've had a few recently," I added. Alex did some more tests on him. She then came out to see me.

"He's in denial"
"Can't imagine why"
"Kara, he needs help, or he could go insane"
"I know, i try but he's reluctant, I feel like he's keeping something from me"
"You should ask him"
"Okay, does he need medication?"
"I can give him something for the anxiety, but he needs you, that'll help him more than anything"
"How have you been"
"Getting by"
"I'm sorry about Maggie"

I heard Jason leave using his speed. I sighed. "Take me home" I said and Alex did. I got home and soon after Jason did in his Flash suit "It works" He said to himself. "I can stop Savitar," He said. "That's great," I said. "Can we talk though?" I added and Jason sat down at the table, Isat across from him.

"You know you can tell me anything"
"If I tell you it changes everything"
"We promised, no secrets"
"I saw the future"
"Like the monitor"
"The monitor, that's it, I have to go"
"Jason"
"Please Kara, I promise i'll explain when I get back"
