Aftermath/Returning

Kara Pov

Jason just left. Alex put her arm around me. She took me home, I lied down on the couch, crying. Alex just sat there, her hand on my leg. His presence was the only thing keeping me from breaking down. I cried for hours. Alex left and I grabbed my favorite photo of me and Jason. It was us on Eliza's roof watching the sunset. I wanted to think of him, trick myself into thinking he was here. I went to the closet and put on Jason's favorite hoodie, I then went to the bathroom and sprayed his cologne on the hoodie. I layed down in bed and fell asleep.

I dreamed I was in a wheat field, Jason walked up behind me and hugged me, I turned around and kissed him. I saw a woman in a blue kryptonian dress, I walked over and saw my mom, I hugged her and then I woke up. I looked over to the other side of the bed and then I remembered what happened last night, Jason left. I know it was to save everyone, save me. Jason didn't deserve what life has given him, didn't deserve his parents dying, didn't deserve any of the tragedy he was put through. But he stayed standing, and that was what mattered.

I walked out of the elevator. I just told people Jason was on a sabbatical, and that he needed time alone to heal from his past. I spent the next sixth months being Kara Danvers-Morgan. I hung up the cape like Jason wanted, Alex and my friends have helped me through my pregnancy. I started wearing Jason's jackets, they smelled like him, made me feel like his arms were around me. I kept his rings on the table, kept them in good shape for him. I cried a lot too, it was hell, I loved Jason, more than anyone I had before, Jason was the one. James had been dealing with Crime, lately it had been a samurai with a jetpack, he wanted to face the Flash, Jason, but he wasn't here. Alex stopped by a few weeks after Jason left, she came and talked to me.

"How are you holding up"
"I'm okay"
"You don't have to be"
"I am not human, I don't get to have a normal life, so yes I am okay"
"Where is Kara Danvers-Morgan, I want to talk to my sister"
"I am not Kara Danvers-Morgan, I am Kara Zor-el"
"No, you are my sister, Jason's wife"
"Why would I ever want to be that sad girl who's husband is gone, I don't like that girl. Kara Zor-el is great right now, she isn't sad"
"Kara, let me help you"
"I think you should go Alex

Alex left and I got a call from Winn. "Meet me at the STAR labs airstrip" He said, I had bought a car. A suv, it would have room for Nora, and I'm not gonna use my speed, and Jason can't run me. I pulled up to Winn. He was at a trailer with Alex, Lena, Cisco and Caitlyn. "What's going on?" I asked. "We're bringing Jason back," Cisco said. "We designed a device called a cork sphere, it's meant to trick the speed force into thinking Jason is still inside." Lena explained. They shot the cork sphere with the gun Jason used against Savitar. A portal that looked like the one Jason went into. "It's working!" Winn yelled and the corksphere went inside the speed force. Jason never came out, we waited ten minutes, nothing. I left without saying anything and drove home crying.

Dylan Max Pov

I was riding the empty bus to my college when the bus stopped. I looked out the window when a portal opened. I got electrocuted by lightning from the portal hitting the bus. I passed out.

3rd Person Pov

In the middle of the street a portal opened, the scarlet speedster came running out. He ran for a while until he stopped in front of a car and collapsed.

Kara Pov

I was at home crying, it was like I lost him again. I got a call from Alex. I let it ring and she called again. "What" I said, sniffling. "Get to the DEO, there is something here you should see." Alex said and I drove over. I walked in and Alex showed me to a cell. Jason was in it. I put my hand over my mouth. "That's not possible," I said. "It's him, but he's been writing those symbols and speaking nonsense for the past half hour." Alex said. I looked around and saw a bunch of symbols Jason had drawn on the walls and the glass. "Rhyming, chiming, flying, Im home Nora, my dad didn't do those things, it was the man in the black mask, task, flask, I am the flash, I do" Jason said, ranting on, he had a stubble, and his hair was longer too. "Let me in'' I said to Alex, she opened the door and I walked in. "Jason it's me" I said, trying to get him to notice me. "Kara," He said. "Yeah, it's me," I said. "I'm sorry, was that the wrong color, mother brother, other, lover, get painting lover boy" Jason said, continuing his ranting. "The speed force exists through all of time, for you it was a few months but for him it could have been a few thousand years. This may not be the Jason you remember" Caitlyn explained and I left.

3rd Person Pov

As Kara was walking back to Catco the samurai flew and took her prisoner. Kara didn't have the chance to escape. James saq this through the window and called Alex. Upon receiving the call about Kara, Alex walked to the cell Jason was in. "Jason, I don't know if it is really you there, but Kara is in danger, she could use your help" Alex said. "Did you hear me, Kara needs you, she could die" she added, Jason froze. Lightning flashed in his eyes and Alex was blown across the room by Jason running from the cell.

Jason Pov

I ran and shoulder checked the Samurai, he fell on his back, the voice sounded weird. "Welcome back, Flash" It said in a weird, glitchy voice. I opened the mask and saw an android, I brought it back to the DEO and I went home with Kara, she was wearing my bomber Jacket. I stood across from her while we talked.

"Hi"
"Hi, your back"
"Yeah, Im sorry"
"You should be, you left me alone Jason! You left me on the sidewalk. How could you do that."
"I had to"
"You always say that"
"I was the only one who could've done it, I didn't want to leave you there, my heart broke when I did, but if I didn't the speed force could've killed people, could've killed you."
"I'm tired of you trying to save me"
"I know, but I can't help myself, I'd do anything for you, I'd run to the moon and back. Anything you ask and I would do it"
"I ask you to spend the night with me"
"As much time as I can, from here on out"
"Deal"

I hugged Kara, she pulled away and put her hand on my face, I had grown a stubble from the speed force. "Should I shave" I asked. "Leave it for a but, I kinda like it" Kara said, I looked down at her belly, it was big. "How far along are you" I asked, my hand on my neck. "Seven months'' Kara said, I turned around and started pacing, rubbing my hands on my head and against each other. "I've been gone for six months," I said, panicking. Kara's arms wrapped around me. "Calm down, it's okay, I'm okay, Nora is okay '' Kara instructed and I stopped pacing. "I'm sorry, I missed you so much, I- '' I stuttered and I was cut off by Kara kissing me. "All that matters is your back now" Kara said. "Yeah, can we just go to bed, I'm tired" I asked, I was still out of it, Kara nodded and I walked over to the bed and laid down in it, no blankets and I fell asleep in my clothes.
