Paragons

    Kara ran to me and hugged me. "Where is my dad" Mia asked. "I don't know" I said and Oliver appeared on a table, blood on his face. The people who knew him best crowded around him, I remember Kara had helped him with another crisis before, they were friends. Everyone traded last words and Oliver shut his eyes, I walked up and felt his pulse, there was none. "Stand back" I told everyone. I rubbed my hands together at superspeed and pressed them against Oliver's chest like a defibrillator. I did it three times, no success. I walked to Mia. "I'm sorry" I said and Mia walked off, I looked at Kara, who had a tear in her eye, I couldn't face her. I walked off to an empty hallway at Star Labs. Kara came out.

"What am I supposed to do"
"No one blames you"
"Did you see Mia"
"Yes, I know she is just sad"
"How are you, we never finished that conversation from earlier."
"I just don't want you to go, how are you at peace with it"
"I don't know, I'm not really"
"I love you Jason, you're the first person who has made me feel like I can really be myself."
"I love you too, but Kara. The whole multiverse is on the line, that's more than 7 billion people, if I can do anything to stop all that death, I have to"
"I know, I just, why does it have to be you"
"The monitor told me that I was the only one able to do so, the only one fast enough."

"Kara, I can't, The only thing I want is to live my life with you, but as a hero, I have responsibilities”

    I was interrupted from hugging Kara by earth one Cisco. “You guys are needed” he said and walked off, I quickly kissed Kara and then we went to the cortex. I saw the monitor. “So you're not trapped, '' I said. I thought the monitor was trapped in the room I always talked to him in. “No, I am not, but Mr. Queen, this is not how I foresaw his death” The monitor said. “What about mine, has my fate changed” I asked. “There is the possibility, but there is still a chance you will die” The monitor said. “Wait you're gonna die, and you didn't tell me" Dypan asked. "That is unimportant, you have another challenge soon" The monitor said. "You must find a kryptonian who has suffered great loss" The monitor informed me. "That's Jason, he's been through more than any of us," Clark said. "True, but he is not the paragon we are looking for'' The monitor replied. "What is a paragon?" Sara asked. "A paragon is a hero who is the key to saving the multiverse, there are seven. The paragons of love, hope, destiny, honor, humanity and truth, six of the seven are in this room, you are looking for the paragon of truth." The monitor said and vanished. I stood thinking with my brow furrowed.

    I was wondering who could be who. I asked everyone to stand in front of me. "What is this for?" Barry asked. "I think I know who the paragons are." I said. I walked to Kara. "Hope, She inspires it" I said, pointing to her. I went to Sara. "Destiny, you have always conquered yours" I said, pointing to her. I went to John. "Honor, obeys martian law" I said, next was Bruce. "Humanity, you swore to never take a life, and you never have" I said, I went to Dick last. "Courage, who took a stand against evil when there was only darkness". "These are the paragons," I said. "That's only five, six of us are paragons," Mia said. "I am the paragon of love, it is my drive" I said. "Correct" The monitor said in my head.

    Everyone stood, taking it in. "What about the rest of us?" Dylan asked. "You all are needed," I said. "We found something, two kryptonian signatures, one in Smallville, Kansas. And one in Metropolis" Winn said. "Kara, Clark, you're with me, you too Dylan" I said and his eyes lit up. "We'll hit smallville first, everyone else stay here, start training" I said and we left. "Thanks for inviting me," Dylan said. "Mia is helping out, and you are here, but you need to listen to me. Even if that means you need to leave me and save yourself" I said. "Promise me" I added. "Promise" He agreed.

    We stopped in Smallville. I walked to a man, we were in normal clothes. I went to a man walking his dog, my HUD told me he might be a kryptonian. "Hello" I said, he turned to me. "Can I help you" He asked. "Maybe, I'm gonna be direct, ars you Kryptonian" I asked, he looked uncomfortable. "No, it's okay, I am too. We may need your help," I said. "Who are you" He asked, Clark came forward. "I'm Superman," He said. "I need to know about your past, have you suffered loss, besides Krypton" I asked. "No, I haven't" He said, I sighed. "I'm sorry to disappoint, you're not the one we're looking for." I said, and we left.

    I walked back to the group, we arrived in Metropolis, The daily planet. Clark held me back. "You two go ahead, we'll catch up" He said and Kara and Dylan left. Clark turned for me, he looked serious.

"I'm sorry Jason"
"I'm not afraid to die"
"Your afraid of how Kara will react"
"Yes"
"I'll watch out for her"
"Thank you, Let her know it's okay to move on, and don't let her shut herself off"
"Alright, lets go"

    We walked up and found Kara and Dylan, we walked to an office, using the hologram screen from my watch. I tracked him. I know it's nerdy but it helps. I found a man that looked like Ray, but older. He definitely looked the hero type. "Clark Kent?" I asked, looking at the name tag on his desk, he looked up. "We need Superman's help" I said, He stood up. "Who told you that'' He said. "Let us take you back to our base and we will explain" I said, knowing it was him if it wasn't the other one. He reached for his head, like something was affecting him. Clark changed into his Super Suit and flew at me, launching me out the window with me in his hands, I kicked free and changed into my suit. "I got this' ' I said into my comms.

    Superman flew at me, I dodged, I saw his eyes. "It's red kryptonite," I said. "It's concentrated, like it was shot into him specifically" I said, I remembered what we did with Clark. I pulled a syringe from my belt, it had the cure for red K. I flew and punched Superman, he fell to the ground. I used my speed and got him in a headlock, I injected him with the serum and we brought him back to base. "Did you kill him?" Barry asked, seeing him unconscious. "No, I just had to knock him out, you got a cell here?" I asked and Barry ran him to a cell.

    We were in the cortex. "Smallville was a no go, that's Metropolis Superman'' I said. "And you beat him?" Sara asked. "Yep, Now I can say I've beat Superman from two worlds'' I said. "Wait, two worlds?" Sara asked. "Yeah, I beat Clark here" I said, putting my hand on Clark's shoulder. "You just had to rub it in" Clark said. "We can question him tomorrow, we should get some rest" I said and went to a room with Kara. I layed down, facing Kara.

"You did good today Jason"
"Thanks, Kara, when I'm gone"
"Please don't"
"Kara please, listen"
"Fine"
"You can move on after me, be happy, or at least try."
"What about Nora"
