The Anti-Monitor

Bruce Pov

Six Months Later

    I was sitting in my suit at the vanishing point. I started doing journal entries in my helmet. "I'm supposed to be a Paragon, one of 7 people who are supposed to be the multiverse's last, best chance. I don't see it. The so-called Paragon of Destiny, she doesn't even believe in tomorrow anymore. The Paragon of Courage spends everyday training for a fight that will never come. The Paragon of Honor just meditates for hours on end. The Paragon of Hope has lost hers. And me, I spend my days trying to repurpose the broken technology of this place to find us a way out, working with Lex. There are many words to describe him, narcissist, sociopath, evil, but douche is best. As for Jason, AKA The Flash, AKA The Paragon of love, gone, missing." I said. I ended the entry and went to check up on Dick, he hasn't done a lot in crisis. I stood next to him, interrupting his training.

"Hey, Paragon of courage"
"Hi Bruce"
"You doing okay, I know this is a lot to take in"
" Im just peachy"
"Yeah, me too"
"You know where Jason is, I'd like to talk to him"
"I don't actually, but me and Lex are working on it"
"Hate that guy"
"Yeah, so, let's go find a way out of here."

    I walked to the teleportation device, everyone came over. "Making modern art are we?" Sara asked. "No, I thought we could retrofit the tech here to make a teleportation device." I said. "Where are we going then?" Dick asked. "Dick makes a good point, this is all that is left" John added. "That is why we need to test it" I said. "I'll do it" Sara said. "No, we lost enough good people, thanks for volunteering, Lex" Kara said. Lex stoos in the machine, he stepped down after it didn't work. I saw red lighting and looked to see Jason hit a wall hard. "Jadon'' Kara yelled. We all went over. "Where am I? '' He asked, confused. "The vanishing point, it has been months'' I said. "No, I left two seconds ago" Jason said. "Where did you go" Kara asked. "The speed force, I couldn't get in, it was like running into a mountain at Mach Ten'' Jason said. He stood up.

Jason Pov

    I stood up. "There is no way out" I said. I walked forward. "Where are you going" Bruce asked. "I'm gonna try again." I said, Bruce tried to stop me but I shrugged him off, I pushed through everyone. I was about to run when Sara stood in front of me, Kara behind her. "I'm going" I said, Sara put her hands up. "We can't let you do that" She said, I got angry and stepped forward. "So try and stop me!" I yelled. "In the condition your in it wouldn't be that hard" Sara said. "Cut it out" Kara ordered, stepping between us. "Whatever happens it will not include us turning against each other" She said. "Maybe you're right, maybe the speed force is our last, best hope," Kara explained. "It is" Someone finished. I looked and saw. "Oliver" Sara asked.
    I saw Oliver, he looked a bit different. "Yes and no, it's complicated" He said. "Nice outfit" I said sarcastically. "Very sith" I added, he chuckled. "Oliver?" Sara asked, bringing his attention back to her. "I am Oliver Queen, but I am also something more" He explained. "More what?" Bruce asked. "Some might call me a ghost, a Spectre, in tune with the multiverse" He said. "So there is a multiverse?" I asked. "No, it's gone, replaced with an antimatter universe. The anti-monitor is at the dawn of time, ensuring his success, so we need to stop him." Oliver said. "But he's strong, the eight of us might not be enough" Oliver explained.

    We all stood thinking. "Several millennia ago on a planet named Maltus, Mar Novu attempted to travel to the birth of the universe but instead opened a breach to the anti-matter universe. "So the Monitor gave us the Anti-Monitor" Lex said. "Correct. So while some of us fight at the Dawn of Time, others must go to Maltus. And prevent Novu from freeing his doppleganger." Oliver explained, Everyone agreed. "We can get to both through the speed force, But I can't get there right now" I said "It's probably because there is no more multiverse, but you said you are in tune with it, can you get us there, does that include the speed force?" I asked. "It's dangerous, but possible," Oliver said. "Please, everyone's lives depend on this" I asked. Olver touched my forehead.

    I looked at him. "I've unlocked your potential," He said. "By touching my head?" I asked. "Do you trust me?" He asked. "Are you Oliver Queen" I asked. "Yes" He said. "Then I trust you, with my life" I said. "Then run, Jason, run!" Oliver said and I opened the speed force. "Where am I" I asked. "The speed force" Oliver said. "Why don't you look all spectery" I asked. "I am lost, I'm in the speed force. The anti-monitor attacked, I'm using my essence to keep me, Sara, John, Dick and Bruce together." he explained. "That's why i'm here, in the DEO, this is where we became friends." I said. "Yes" Oliver agreed. "I'm using our memories and connections to keep us from falling out of the speed force" He said. "If they fall out they'll die right? The anti-matter will kill them?" I asked. Oliver nodded. "Where is Kara?" I asked, not caring about Lex. "She's okay, but Barry I can only buy you time, the rest is on you" He said. "The speed force is infinite, where do I look?" I asked. "Remember, memories are connections" He said and left.

    I left to find John first since he was at the DEO, I didn't find him though. I ran to Kara's apartment, where we had the first game night. "Jason?" He asked. "Yeah, you're in the speed force" I said. "I'm gonna bring you to the DEO, Stay there and wait for me to bring everyone back" I said and ran him there. I ran to find Sara, I went to STAR Labs, where me and Sara first bonded over a drink to Oliver. I found her. "Sara?" I asked. "Yeah, hey Jason" She said and I ran her to stay with John. "Wait for me to get Bruce and Dick" I told them. I found Bruce at Gotham High, were we met at lunch. I walked in and saw him in a fight, I remember, this guy was talking trash about his parents. I pulled Bruce off and took him to STAR Labs. I got Dick in the Batcave, he was looking at a pic of his parents. I got him and brought him to STAR Labs. A portal opened and we went through it. We dropped and saw the anti-monitor. Kara was there with Lex, too. I fist bumped her.

    Oliver told us what we needed to do and we started fighting. I was running around punching guys, Kara was using her heat vision, Lex was using powers he got from the book of destiny. Bruce and Dick were using Bat-tech, Sara was using her bow staff and John was punching the shadow creatures the anti-monitor created. "This guy really likes dementors'' Sara said. "Expecto Patronum!" Kara yelled, shooting her heat vision. "Stay focused" I yelled. "This is the fight of our lives'' I added. I ran to Kara. "Cover me" She said. "Always'' I said and I ran circles around Kara, punching anybody who tried to hurt her while Kara's heat vision was focused on the sky.

What seemed like hours passed when the creatures all disappeared. "Where is Oliver'' I asked. "There" Dick said, pointing to an energy funnel with a blue beam shooting to the sky. "Fan the flame, the book of destiny" I said. "What do we focus on'' Bruce asked. "Love, Destiny, Honor, Courage, Humanity, Truth and Hope'' She said, looking at the respective Paragons as she said the words. We stood in a line and focused, helping Ollie. There was an explosion, knocking us all back. "Get us there Jason!" Sara yelled and I ran us up. 

    I pulled my mask down and knelt next to Oliver. "Hey man, come on, we won'' I said. "Watch over my family" He said. "We will, come one Ollie, get up, you did it" Sara said. "No, you guys did it, look'' He said and I looked up to see the multiverse forming. "Its awesome" I said. We traded words until Ollie died. Next thing I knew I was woken up by Kara.
