The Unexpected Couple

"Cause I'm in a field of dandelions Wishing on every one that you'll be mine"

Ri Jeong Hyeok is a heartthrob, captain of the basketball team, and one of the top students of their batch. He is indeed a popular student. All girls, whatever their year-level is, swoon over him. He is known for not having a girlfriend during his whole years in middle school. Gossip says, he has a high standard for girls.

During their sophomore year, a new student arrived at their school- Seo Dan, a student from Russia who came back to her home country. Most of the time, students and teachers would pair them up. They thought that it is her that could meet the heartthrob's standards. But as many events had passed until their senior year, Jeong Hyeok can't find the connection with her. Seo Dan, on the other hand, is obviously trying to get the attention of the popular student.

During regular school days, Dani would go to Jeong Hyeok's desk to ask for help, sometimes a very odd question from her.

"Ri Jeong Hyeokssi, could you help me with our Science assignment?"
"Ri Jeong Hyeokssi, could you tell me what date it is?"
"Ri Jeong Hyeokssi, are you busy on Saturday?"

Jeong Hyeok finds it annoying whenever a woman would force themselves to him- just like what Dani's doing. He would just answer her with a one-liner response or sometimes, he wouldn't respond at all.

"Dani! C'mon, don't waste your time with him. Why don't I treat you on Saturday, yes?" Gu Seung Jun, a known bad boy from their batch, tried to get the woman's attention. Seo Dan gave him a killer look and left the two guys while she went back to her desk.

"Ri Jeong Hyeok, she's starting to bother you, huh? Don't worry, I think I can handle her." Gu Seung said while looking at Seo Dan. 

Jeong Hyeok smiled and nodded in response, a hint of saying thanks.

One school day, they were dismissed earlier since a school activity needs preparation to do- the senior's last promenade which is only a week away from now.

Before going home, Jeong Hyeok visits a place where he always goes alone. No one knows that he goes there. It was his secret peaceful place.

The place is a field full of different flowers. But one type of flower always caught his attention- the dandelions. He sometimes takes one stem of it and picked out its petals while saying a phrase on his mind, "She loves me, she loves me not."

Jeong Hyeok is not fond of any kind of beliefs but he tried it anyway though it gave him different results. He didn't give up on letting the flower decide about his fate instead, he kept on coming back and wait what answer would the dandelions give him.
