Scene No. 11

——IN THE FOREST——

Ferris stops and rifles in his satchel, pulling out a large stick. It is covered in pieces of cloth and string that holds it together. He begins whacking the bushes in front of him out of his way to make a clear path.

Ferris: <Grumbling> "Come on, town girl"

Yuko: <Following Ferris> "I still don't appreciate being called town girl"

Ferris: "Well I'm never going to stop calling you that, so get used to it"

Yuko: <Quietly> "So disrespectful"

Ferris, despite his size, is very quick, and strides through the forest with ease.

Ferris: "Hurry up, I'm not going to wait for you"

Yuko is very careful about where she steps, but tries to hurry along.

As they near the edge of town, Ferris reaches into his pack once again, and draws out two cloaks. He throws one at Yuko.

Ferris: "Take this"

Yuko: "What? Why do we need these?"

Ferris: "Do you want to get caught, or don't you?"

Ferris snarls, in a meaner voice than he probably means; he is still unhappy about the whole situation.

Yuko: "W-wait, we're going to steal?!"

Ferris: <Scowling> "Well, what did you expect? I am a dirty thief, after all"

Yuko: <Shouting> "You might be, but I'm not!"

Ferris turns and strides off, ignoring her.

Yuko: "H-hey! Listen to me!"

As Ferris rounds the corner, the growing darkness swallows him up, and Yuko is left alone in the trees. Yuko squeaks in fright and runs after him. Ferris comes running back, angered by how slow she was, and they collide.

Ferris: "AH- FUCK!"

Yuko: "Ow-!" <On the floor> "Oooww!"

Ferris: "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST, can't you LOOK WHERE YOUR GOING FOR ONCE?!"

Yuko stands up with an annoyed expression.

Yuko: "It's not MY fault! Don't yell at me!"

Ferris stands as well, and brushes himself down before turning to her and scowling.

Ferris: "So its my fault your such an incompetent prick, is it?" <Turning away from her>"I didn't ask to be here. Its not my fault you came and wrecked my camp. If it were up to me, I'd be on my way to Canada by now. But no, I'm stuck here, risking my life for a fucking party"

Yuko: "Gh..."

Yuko makes a small noise of both shock and disgust. She has no idea how to respond to that, so she just marches on forward, ignoring him.

Ferris: "Oh, so nowyou've decided to go silent. Perfect"

He pushes past her and strides into the street.

Ferris: "Wait here, I'm going to get the stuff and then ill be out again, be ready to run, just in case"

Yuko: <Yelping> "We both know you wont know what to...steal"

He ignores her and creeps into the shadow of a nearby house, using the darkness to mask himself as he sneaks around the corner. Hesneaks along the street until he comes to a small shop. He pushes open the door, quietly, and goes inside.
