JAX

After a quick car ride where Bailey and George excitedly chatted away in the back seat, we enter the house. As soon as we walk in, Bailey takes George upstairs saying something about how big his room is or something, I wasn't fully paying attention- I was just happy that he was happy.

That left me and Blaine.

"Got any wine?" He asks, walking towards the kitchen.

"Maybe, not sure, you'll have to see. Maybe you should you know cut back on the drinking though, it can't be healthy." I reply, only to be met with a shrug as he pulls open the cupboard and takes out an opened bottle to pour himself a glass.

"Want some?" he offers, I reply with a shake of my head getting a glass of water for myself knowing that if I start I won't stop. Bailey hasn't seen me properly drunk yet, to be honest I haven't been too bad in long time but with Blaine who knows how bad it could get, I don't want to put Bailey in danger so I stay away from it.

Once we are settled in the living room, I turn on the TV just for background noise, I don't really care for the stuff that is on.

"So, who's this George kid?" he asks me.

"He's Baileys friend, met at school, haven't seen each other in ages, his mother is ill and constantly needs caring for. His dad left her cause she wasn't useful anymore- his words- and so he was left to do it."

"Oh right, depressing. Can't she just stay at the hospital?"

"Too expensive for him."

"So after this week, hes gonna go home and not get any proper social interaction with his friends for ages?"

"I guess, its not fair really, if only his dad didn't leave him. You know, Bailey has been really looking forward to this, its not fair that hes gonna spend his whole life caring for his mother not getting to experience proper things." I say, starting to think, "I would hate to feel so helpless without any money to help."

"Yeah that kinda sucks I guess." Blaine replies, I look over to him to see him barely listening scrolling through twitter on his phone as he sips the wine.

"Dude are you even listening?"

"Yeah yeah sorry, why don't you just pay for him?" he quickly replies putting down his phone, "Think about it, you could get his mum into a good hospital with proper care and the kid, George is he called?" I nod, "Well he can stay here or in a house close and then him and Bailey can see each other more often."

"You know, that isn't a bad plan," I say slowly thinking about it, there is no doubt about whether or not I could actually do it, I have the money, "I'll have to ask him about it."

"Yeah good plan, anyway, did you see what Liam sent on the group chat?"

"I'm sorry we have a group chat now?"

"Yeah course," he laughs, "You didn't know?"

"No? Am I in it?"

"Yeah, wouldn't wanna leave you out, who knows how mad you'd get."

"Hey! I wouldn't get mad at my friends."

"Oh yeah, friends," he says with air quotations, "You ain't fooling anyone I can tell that you don't like them, and besides are you forgetting the great incident of the meeting room."

"Fair, I in't even gonna try argue with that one, and this great incident you talk about- it was one innocent little mistake and besides you got mad too, it was a stressful day for all of us."
