BAILEY

"I don't care that you don't want to go, your dad doesn't like you right?" Jax says to me, kind of rudely, as I'm complaining about being forced to see my dad.

"Yeah, he does. I hate him too which is why I shouldn't be going."

"Okay so that means he wants something, if he doesn't like you he won't be inviting you round for a nice chat with some tea or cake, he is gonna want something, probably money." he says as if its obvious why we are going.

"Surely that's an even bigger reason to not go?"

"Probably," he shrugs, "However, I wanna know what hes up to, he hurt you Bailey, if there's an opportunity to get him in prison or any evidence that he abused you or your mother I need to get it. I am not going to help him don't worry but if he is resorting to you for help it's probably a big problem that I could use as evidence to get in trouble with the law, got it?"

"I get it sir." I mumble. He makes sense and it's a good idea but I still don't want to see him.

"Good boy," he ruffles my hair, "Now finish your cereal we have to leave in fifteen minutes. Also, if you're well behaved and do exactly as I say you can have a reward of your choice when we get home."

Half an hour later, we are stood at my door waiting for him to answer. After knocking for a second time I peer up to Jax, he just smiles giving a reassuring look that calms my racing heartbeat.

After waiting another few minutes about to go give up and go home, the door is opened but instead of my dad we are met with the face of a beautiful young woman.

I stare in shock.

"Hi, I'm Willow, uh hes in here." the woman fakes a smile, pointing towards the living room. "You look nice." She adds.

I had made sure to put noticeable makeup on to piss my dad off and I wore a skirt for the exact same reason, I wasn't sure if this Willow girl was being sarcastic or serious but after Jax nudged me I said thank you despite whatever her intentions were.

Walking into the house didn't feel nostalgic as I thought it would've, nothing much had changed and all the terrible memories of crying on the kitchen floor after been hit by a beer bottle for not cooking fast enough come flooding back. I grip Jax's hand not wanting to have a panic attack cause that would just be embarrassing, he squeezes my hand harder for support.

The new girl Willow leads us into the living room where I sit on the edge of the sofa, Jax sits next to me and wraps his arm round my body which earns a stare from my dad. "Why were we called here?" he demands.

"We need money."

Of course.

"No." I say before he even has chance to expand his point.

"Let me finish boy." he glares at me.

"No." Jax says calmly, "And don't fucking talk to my boy like that." he tightens his grip on my body to which I gladly let him loving the safety his body offers me.

"Don't talk to me like that, he is my son I will talk to him however I like."

"Bailey, leave I want coffee take Willow with you so she can show you where the ingredients are." he orders me to leave but I'm skeptical to leave his comforting side, "Now Bailey, be a good boy remember what I said."
