There is only one seeker on the quidditch team. They play with a small golden ball called the snitch. The snitch is released once the game starts and the seeker searches around the pitch for it since the snitch has wings and flutters around the pitch very fast. Once the seeker catches the snitch, his team gets 150 points and the game ends. So, the game can even continue for years because it only ends when the seeker gets the snitch and catches it.
