Untouchable Sequel: A broken heart

Chapter 25

My heart is racing. As i walk towards Dakths the only thing i think about is Harish, and how i want to kiss him as soon as i see him again.  I smile as i run towards Dakths. People look at me weirdly. I am smiling while I'm crying out of happiness. 

I finally see the building of Karthik's bar. I see a little light. I run quicker and quicker. Finally, i stand in front of the door. I am out of breath. I go in and, walk into the elevator. As I'm standing in the elevator i wonder why Suriya would break up with Advika. I had my doubts about her but after tonight i knew she was pure. Her intentions were pure. 

The elevator opens. I instantly see Suriya. There was no light in the bar, only where Suriya was sitting. He was sitting on one of the chairs close to the bar. He looks drunk and tired. I walk closer to him. He has a bottle in his hands. There's no one in the bar beside him, and the guy behind the bar.  

I walk closer and go sit in the chair next to Suriya. 

"I thought you had stopped drinking," I say suddenly. 

He chuckles ironically. 

"I think we all knew it wouldn't have lasted," Suriya says smiling at his bottle.

"I believed in you. Because i know that if you put your mind to anything you can do it." I reply trying to comfort him. 

He looks at me. His eyes were all red. He had been crying. He was hurt i could tell. 

"Why did you break up with her? She loves you. I can tell!" I say trying to make him tell me something. 

"Don't even worry about it" Suriya says, and takes a sip of his beer. 

"It's pretty. The ring." Suriya changes the topic. 

I take my other hand over it. I didn't want this to be about me. 

"Suriya why did you break up with her?" I ask him again. 

"She started talking about the future. What kind of person she wanted me to be in the future, about kids....it just got too much." Suriya speaks out. 

"I don't understand. You have always loved talking about your future. Especially your love life in the future. We used to talk about that all the time when we're kids." I say thinking back to that time. 

"Yes, but that was about you. I didn't see myself with anyone else than you." Suriya says. He takes a big sip of his beer. 

"Suriya...please don't go there," I say, while i start getting teary. 

Suriya tears up as well. He turns his head away from me and dries his tears away. 

"Yeah, yeah, i know. He's the best man and all." Suriya drops the bottle and gets up. 

He starts to walk away from me. 

"You know i was jealous. The first time i saw you and Advika. She seemed so perfect. Like there was nothing wrong with her. She seemed so...... confident, and beautiful all the time. I felt bad, but i ignored it because i saw how happy she made you. I had never seen you that happy with someone." I speak getting teary again. 

I hear his footsteps stop behind me. I still had my back to him. 

"She is not prettier than you," Suriya says suddenly. 

I sniffle. 

Hearing that from Suriya made me so happy. I know it was wrong to feel that way, but i did.

"Can i ask you something?" Suriya then asks suddenly. 

"Yeah of course," I say drying my eyes. I turn around to him.
