Untouchable Sequel: A broken heart

Chapter 34

All my friends were at my house. I was happy. I felt almost fulfilled, but i felt like a part of me was gone. A part of me that i didn't know meant so much to me. The worst part of it was, that i knew exactly what was missing. I missed Harish. 

I take my phone up and look at old pictures of me and Harish. I smile looking at them. I missed him. As i see Krish beside me look at me. I quickly turn my phone off. 

"You miss him?" Krish asks. 

"A little bit. I mean he was my fiance. It's normal to miss someone you have been with for that long." I say looking at my phone. 

"Divya...call him if you miss him," Krish says. 

"He would have called me if he missed me" I let out. 

"You literally gave him your ring back and told him you never wanted to see him again." Tara jumps in. 

I look at Tara and get a little offended. 

Karthik pokes to Tara. 

"I only did that because i didn't wanna hurt him. Maybe it's for the best." I say laying my phone away from me. 

"It's not for the best. Divya he misses you, so much." Tara let's out. 

"You talked to him?" I ask Tara. 

Everyone looks at Tara confusingly. 

"Karthik and I talked to him. He misses you so much. I can tell!" Tara says trying to make her point. 

"I don't wanna hurt him. I am hurting him while being with him, and i don't want that." I say. 

"No relationship is perfect," Sneha says and smiles at me. 

"I have an idea," Suriya says. 

Everyone looks towards Suriya.

"Let's call him, and invite him over," Suriya says smiling at me. 

"What no?" I quickly add. 

Suriya takes his phone from his pocket.

"Suriya, please that's not funny! Please." I run over to Suriya trying to stop him. 

But he runs away from me. Everyone laughs. 

"Suriya please!"  I shout.

Suriya turns the phone toward me to show that it's calling. Then he presses the mic button so everyone can hear it. 

Suddenly the dialing stops. My heart skips a beat. 

"Hey, what's up" I hear Harish's voice. It gives an electric shock to me. It was such a long time since i had heard his voice. It felt nice. 

A silence spreads. Suriya coughs and then starts talking. 

"Hey, bro Divya is throwing a game night tonight. She really wants you to be there. She misses you."  Suriya says. 

I shook my head looking at Suriya. I was so nervous. My heart was racing while waiting for him to answear. 

"Are you sure it's a good idea? She made it clear that she didn't wanna be with me. I don't want to hurt her more." Harish replies. 

I look down getting a little sad. 

"I am sure bro. She misses you, she told me." Suriya says quickly. 

"I miss her like crazy too...hmm....yeah sure I'll be there,"  Harish replies. 

A huge smile appears on my face. I couldn't believe what i just heard.
