24. FRIEND'S LOVE EACH OTHER

"So...you knew all along. You knew all along that that snake doll was her Avatar. Am I right?"

"What? Not the Avatar? Then what was it?"

"WHAT?! IT WAS THE DEMON! I WAS ROAMING WITH A DEMON IN MY POCKET?!"

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU SNEAKY LITTLE CUB!"

That, Ladies and Gentlemen, is my conversation with my Avatar, as we waited the arrival of Jonghyun, Jina and Sunmi. We were in the basement, more like a dungeon, were the ritual or whatever Jina liked to call it was going to be held. I was already present, but the other's weren't. So I was using this as a chance to interrogate my said cub for his betrayal.

Turns out, Tan, Kai and Miho knew all along that that snake doll was a minature of Sunmis avatar and that's why he left it in her room when I told him to keep it safe. For some reason, the avatars were acting suspicious, all that respect the other avatars showed to Tan, the way Miho bowed down that day, and Sunmi's snake even had the audicity to lick Tans paw with its "Y" shaped tongue! Something was very fishy with them and it was freakin' me out!

Okay, back to the matter at hand. So you see, My avatar wasn't really taking my interrogation seriously, because he even had the nerve to tease me by saying that the doll wasn't the avatar but the demon itself. Can you see his nerve! I think I raised him wrong.

That very moment, animal violence would have occured if Jonghyun and the others wouldn't have stepped in. I turned to look at them, correcting my posture as the trio walked in, Sunmi to be the last.

So far, she looked really weak, but according to Jina, her health was improving. Sunmi was more human now. She could eat, sense and feel things. Her eyes were nornal as well, taking the 'most unique but beautiful eyes' record from me.

I wasn't jealous. I don't get jealous. Not that.

To sum up everything that happened after the day Sangwon died, Let's just say, the mansion was a busy body. It's like, as the months pass and the inhabitants increase, the mansion gets more chaotic and noisy. Sometimes I miss the quiet and the empty corridors.

Okay so why do I always stray from the topic? Here I go.

We brought Sunmi home, were she had been resting ever since. It was after two days that she woke up and I explained everyone what had happened that day. You see, I had kind of fallen ill myself. I had mentioned before that I hadn't been feeling very well lately, I guess that had finally come true.

The access use of magic and stress had me weakening, not to forget the headaches that had become a constant episode these days. It's as if I can feel Lucifer closing in, the time coming nearer. It scared me so much, that sometimes I felt like disappearing into thin air, to become a black hole and not to feel anything any more. But it was my fate, and foolishly but dismissively, I had to do it. I had to fight Lucifer.
