20. SUNMI

It was a Guardian.

The Yoo couple's possessed and now dead daughter was a Guardian, something we had stopped searching for a while.

Slowly, the three of us stood up, inching our way out of the parlour and into the foyer. Once out, we were greeted by more darkness. I took my phone out before pressing the flashlight on, Taemin and Sehul doing the same. We walked on and on, now climbing the stairs that would take us higher, for the scent was getting stronger. Taemin inhaled deeply, before exhaling it out.

"I smelt this before somewhere. I think I did." Taemin said, both Sehul and I turning to look at him.

"You did? Where?" Sehul asked as we resumed walking. Taemin shook his head with a frown. "I'm not completely sure, but a part of me thinks it was in JYP building, for I had never ventured anywere on my own safe for visiting the twins. I went where ever GOT7 went, so I think it was in JYP Ent. I knew it was the scent of a Guardian, but I never aproached. I always kept my distance because...I was...scared."

None of us said anything to Taemin's last statement. We already knew he was scared. But the fact that he thought Sunmi must have been in JYP meant she was a Guardian belonging to one of JYP's groups.

When we finally reached the top, we stared around us, the long passages winding here and there, leading to different corridors like a maze. The scent was really strong now, I had a feeling she was right here somewhere, but we couldn't see her. I huffed in frustration. "Where the Hell is she?"

Sehul and Taemin both looked at me, their eyes suddenly going wide as they stared at something behind me. Taemin stuttered, while Sehul pointed his finger. "Behind you."

That was when I felt the chills running down my spine. The cold breath caressing my neck and making my hairs stand on edge. I glanced side ways, holding my breath as I watched a pale white bony hand reach out for me, the very moment I decided to turn around and take a look at the intruder.

Before I can or anyone else can take a good look at the intruder, she sprinted off like a flash of light, leaving her silver hair the only thing for us to catch. "What the Hell?"

Sehul and I try to comprehend what just happened, rooted in our spot while Taemin shot in lightning speed in pursuit for the silver head. Only then to Sehul and I come down to Earth and follow. I hopped the Yoo couple weren't still up, or they might have gotten a heart attack if they saw our speed.

Taemin was just a blur of electricity, because of which it was easier for Sehul and me to follow. I had no idea where we were going or where it was we were heading to. All I knew was that I kept taking a left and right then left and right again. This whole manor was a fucking maze! And Sunmi was just trapping us there.

At long last, Taemin came to a stop, halting Sehul and me just behind him. We were in a dead end of a corridor, with Sunmi facing the wall. The three of us stared at her back, long silver hairs flowing down to her waist. She wore a long maxi dress, the color of cream.
