26. PROPHECY IN A CAVE

"Sunmi did you pack the anklet I gave you?" Jina screamed from inside the mansion as the four of us made our way outside, the slow winter breeze flying past us. Sunmi stopped dead track while searching her skirt pockets at the same time. Jina ran up to us, watching as Sunmi fished out the anklet. "Yeah I have it."

"Keep it close. Don't lose it. If you feel even the slightest bit weird, you come home okay?" Jina literally burnt the words inside Sunmi's head, who agreed for the nth time now to it.

"Jees Jina, she's just going with Twice. It's not like they will kill her or something." Sehul said in sarcasm, earning a glare from Jina. Sunmi smiled in return before the four of us teleported away to Twice dorm.

Three days since I last spoke with Henry. Three days since he disappeared for good. When I returned back to my body, I woke up with the sound of the door banging from the other side. I could hear Jonghyun screaming my name until Tan opened the door and they all came tumbling in. A number of questions were asked, but I couldn't reply any of them. Sunmi was nowhere to be seen, and I already knew why. My own heart was breaking for some reason, and I couldn't even place it. Searching around, I spotted the huge Anaconda curled up and asleep, as if nothing ever happened.

The questions kept firing on but all I did was crawl towards the huge snake as I patted it slowly. Its eyelids drew open, staring at me before they shut again. 

And just like that, I broke down.

I cried for so many things that day.

I cried because I was so scared of what Lucifer could do to me or my loved ones.

I cried because I couldn't have BTS when I wanted them the most.

I cried because my heart broke for Sunmi's love and Taemin unrequited one.

I cried because the Anaconda didn't recognize me anymore like it did before.

I cried because Henry was gone for good, and it killed me inside.

It was the next day that we held a meeting with the six of us at Jonghyun's office, were things were cleared out. I said them everything, from killing Sangwon to Henry's warning about Lucifer. And Sunmi said her part, from being killed by her family till her relationship with Henry, much to Taemin's broken heartedness.

It was a lot to take in, and Sunmi needed her time alone. But like Jonghyun and Jina had consoled me, I consoled Sehul and Sehul consoled Taemin, Taemin couldn't do the same. He had heard about Sunmi and I had shared my part with him, cruel as it might be. So Sunmi reminced in her pain alone, while the boy next door just heard her anguished cries from the wall that seperated them. 

Little did Romeo know, that his Juliet had actually waited for him to come.

Today, Sunmi was going on a six day trip with Twice, the idea suggested by none other than Taemin himself. Sunmi was now feeling a lot better, and she had agreed as well, that some time with the Nature would cool her head off of things. And she needed to come clear with Twice. She had explained them briefly about who she trully is, now they would need details.
