25. HENRY

My eyes flew open with a start, a distant ringing going on in the background. I panted for air, although my lungs were working perfectly fine and my head wasn't throbbing anymore. The distant ringing was just in my head, slowly subsiding as I came completely into wakefullness. I slowly sat up, taking in my surroundings.

Everything was pitch black. The floor, the ceiling, and the never ending walls. It seemed like the same place Jina took me, the Time barrier, but instead of colourful curtains, this one was just black. As my vision and senses cleared, I could hear the sound of water dripping somewere in the distance. This place was so quiet, that that little bit of sound was so loud here. It was only after I stood up did I realize that my whole back was drench in water, because the floor was covered in a two inch layer of water.

Where the Hell am I?

"Hello?" I called out, my feet making sloppy noises as I walked on in the water, searching for any signs of life. Where on Earth did that Demon bring me? What was he planning to do?

"You are awake. Finally." My body turned in a reflex towards the voice, ready to engage with frost as my hands smoke with ice, while I stared into the darkness, somewhat able to make out a dark figure standing there.

"Henry." I said, knowing it was him. It was the same voice that lulled me to sleep. That same handsome yet deadly voice. "Show yourself."

"If I show myself, will you hold your frost?" Henry asked, and I couldn't understand whether he was being sarcastic or rational. I just shrugged through gritted teeth. "You basically brought me here without my consent. Can you blame me for defending my self?"

"Sunmi said I wanted to talk to you, yes? Then why should you be so surprised by the destination?"

"Because as far as I know, you don't ask for favors by making your own rules, Demon."

A silence followed after that. Henry stood still as usual, but something told me he was staring at me as if analysing me. At long last, he sighed, before stepping out of the shadows, making me more alert. If he was planning one of his demonic tricks he better not. I will fry him like a squid if I have to!

"Look, I'm sorry for being such an ass when we are meeting for the first time. We didn't get off in the right foot, so let's start again shall we? I'm Henry, and I'm a fallen angel. Not...a Demon." Henry's words had me thunder struck and unable to move. I stared at his too very handsome face while at the same time wondering what he meant.

He was...a fallen angel? Like...Lucifer? But there never was another fallen angel after Lucifer! It's a lie!

Creating a boomerang out of ice, I threw at at Henry which dodged him at the last minute. "Don't you freaking lie to me! There never was another fallen angel after Lucifer! Do you take me for an idiot? Did you really expect me to believe that blasphemy?"
