The next day he got ready for the appointment at the hospital. It had been a while since he went outside. The last time was when he came back from the hospital, actually. He pulled on some jeans that were conveniently on top of the pile in his closet and pulled out a hoodie to wear over his worn off black shirt.
"Oi brat! You're almost ready or what?!" the old hag yelled, pounding on his door as he pulled the dark hoodie down over his chest."Yeah, yeah" Katsuki mumbled, lazily brushing his hand through his hair and shrugging. The doctors had seen him in worse states, a bit of messy hair didn't really matter. He walked down the stairs, seeing his parents were waiting for him. There was no rush though, they still had more than enough time to make it to the hospital. But his old man was always stressed about being late and wanted to leave early. After he put on his shoes, he followed them outside to the car.
Katsuki frowned as he noticed the police car parked on the other side of the street. Were they watching their house..? Why? It's not like the villains had anything else left to take from him.
"Oh, I guess you haven't seen officer Johnsen, have you?" Mitsuki asked, smiling and waving at the police car, getting a wave back in return.
"He's been keeping the media from our door"The media..? Katsuki hadn't really thought about them that much... Of course those bastards would snoop around here to try and get pictures of him after what happened! Maybe even harass him into an interview or statement or something! Fucking assholes. He huffed, sitting down in the back of the car and clicking on his seatbelt. He almost instantly zoned off as he stared out the window when they drove, hearing the music of the radio play but not paying enough attention to actually hear it. Just faded background noise.
The trip to the hospital seemed to go quicker than the last time they had to take these roads. Might be traffic, though. Katsuki mindlessly followed his parents through the hospital halls and into some kind of waiting room. It was mostly blank and painted a typical hospital white. The tiles on the floor were a dusty white as well, the grey accents matching the seemingly random line painted horizontally in the middle of the hall.
He'd noticed there was a line like that in the room he woke up in about a week ago. Yet that line wasn't grey. He didn't exactly remember the colour, but it definitely hadn't been grey. Maybe red? Or orange? Something like that? He briefly wondered if they had any significant meaning. If the hospital was colour coded in some weird way so staff would always know in which section they were. He was pulled out of those thoughts when a man entered the room. His clothes were a plain baby blue and he held a clipboard in his hand.
"Bakugou?"
"Ah, yes, that's us" Mitsuki stated, getting up from her chair.
"Okay, uhm, please follow me"
Katsuki once again trailed behind his parents, seeing the line on the wall shift from grey to yellow as they turned a corner. Maybe his theory about sections was right after all..."Please wait here, Dr. Lewis will be with you shortly" the man said, giving them a small smile before leaving the room he had guided them to. There was a single bed in the middle of the room with its head against the wall and some cabinets along the side with a couple of papers on top of them.
Katsuki noticed the fire escape route plan on the back of the door as it closed, but didn't bother studying it in closer detail as he sat down on the bed. It looked a lot like the room he woke up in, but at the same time it was totally different. Guess that's hospitals for you... It didn't take that long for a woman to enter the room, wearing a similar outfit like the man from before but with a white lab coat on top.
"Hi, I'm Dr. Lewis, very nice to meet you all" she smiled as she shook hands with his parents.
"And you must be Bakugou Katsuki"
She shook his hand as well before turning around and taking some of the papers that laid on top of a lower cabinet.
