Chapter 54 - Shock

"That was extremely reckless! Rushing in there when knowing Midoriya didn't have full control! What were you planning to do if he attacked you?!" Aizawa lectured Katsuki when all the students were back on the spectator platform. Katsuki knew he would be lectured even more later on by both Maijima sensei and his parents. Maybe Aizawa sensei too... He'd be questioned about his quirk either way...

"And you!" he went on, stepping aside to Sero.
"Taking a quirkless student to the middle of a dangerous battle! Even if it was training!"
He took a deep breath before letting his eyes rest on Izuku, who gulped and stared at the ground.
"What happened out there?"

"I-I don't know..." he choked out, vividly remembering the face of the first. Of his uncle... He didn't know what happened with his body during that time, but by the sound of it, it wasn't good.
"You're not training with other students until you get this under control. You're a danger to people around you like this and I can't have that" Aizawa stated, firm but fair, like always. Izuku understood he couldn't excuse this issue, not even if he knew about One For All.

"Also-" Aizawa said, turning back to Katsuki.

"-I think you've got some explaining to do"

Izuku frowned, glancing aside at Kacchan, who seemed rather tense. Of course he was, he just exposed himself! And he hadn't even made a decision yet!

Shinsou bit his lip, not knowing whether or not he should speak up. It was clear that no one here knew about it. It made Hitoshi wonder just how classified this information really was... Part of him wanted to help out the ash blonde, seeing he had done so much for him already for fixing his artificial vocal cords. But a bigger part of him was scared to get into trouble and mess up his only shot to get into the hero course.

"How long have you been able to use your quirk again?" Aizawa asked when it was clear Katsuki wasn't going to speak up on his own. Everyone had seen him use his quirk on screen, yet it was still a shock to hear Aizawa talk about it out loud. Izuku's eyes shot open and his head turned towards Katsuki with a speed that made him flinch. Well, almost everyone...

Katsuki felt uncomfortable with so many eyes on him, awfully aware of the sweat that was forming in his palms. He wanted to sink into the ground and disappear. To just run out and hide away in his room and never come out again. They weren't supposed to find out like this! He was supposed to tell them when he had made a decision! When he had it all figured out and knew what he wanted to do with his life! When he had time to prepare for this confrontation... Katsuki clenched his fists and took a shaky breath.

"I-I got it back..." he choked out, not meeting Aizawa's eyes. Not looking at anyone, actually.

"You got it back? All For One gave it to you? Just like that? Am I supposed to believe that?" Aizawa hissed, getting angry again. But also worried... How could he keep something like this for himself..? Why..? What did he have to do in order to regain his quirk..? What did All For One do to him..? It couldn't be good if he stayed silent this long...

"Recovery Girl knows about it" Shinsou blurted out, instantly regretting getting involved. Aizawa's eyes immediately diverted to the purple haired teen, frowning. Well, there's no point in backing out now. It wouldn't be very hero-like to abandon someone in need of saving.
"You can ask her for details if you're interested in the full story"

Katsuki dared to look up at Shinsou, even if it was for just a second, now more relieved than ever that he knew about his quirk ahead of time. He could use some assistance right now. Ugh, using his quirk like that was a terrible idea! He should've stayed out of it and trusted the teachers to interfere when things got out of hand! He shouldn't have rushed in to pull Deku out of his trance! It was stupid!
