The green head was pulled out of thought by a knock on the door.
"Deku-kun? It's me, Uraraka"
"Coming!" Izuku replied, quickly crawling up from his bed and stumbling towards the door, making sure not to fall over the empty cardboard boxes that were still littered over the floor. He had to clean those up before Iida started lecturing him about it..."What's up Uraraka?" he asked as he opened the door, a smile gracing his lips.
"The whole class is gonna hang out together downstairs. You wanna come?" she asked, tilting her head so she could get a better look of what Izuku's room looked like. This made Deku close the door a bit as a reflex, giving Ochako a nervous smile.
"Yeah, sure! I'll be right there!"With that he slammed the door shut, taking a shaky breath. He always gets nervous around Uraraka... Maybe because she's always so close up in his personal space? Must be since he can actually have decent conversations with girls now. He remembered that at the start of the school year, he had trouble even being near girls just because he really wasn't used to any of them talking to him.
Like, how was he supposed to handle that? What did they like to talk about? He didn't actually know, girls never really looked at him before. It made him nervous and jittery and some of the guys teased him about it in the beginning. He'd come a long way since then though! Now it was only Uraraka left...
She was a good friend, of course, and he really liked her. As a friend. But she was just a little too clingy for his comfort and he didn't have the heart to mention it to her, fearing it would make things awkward between them. Izuku shook his head, clearing out those thoughts. He quickly took his phone and tried to make his hair somewhat presentable before going out.
He was thankful that his room was on the second floor, that way he only had to take one flight of stairs. Of course there was an elevator in the building, but that would be a waste of power for only one flight of stairs, right? When arriving in the common area, he saw most people lounging around in the living area.
Yaoyorozu was making some tea in the kitchen and Kaminari and Sero were chasing each other around for some reason while Kirishima tried to stop them. It was always utter chaos with those guys, wasn't it..? But then his eyes fell upon some kind of taped up cocoon wriggling on the floor. Before he could ask what it was or how it got here, Jirou shot to his side with an explanation.
"Mineta tried to sneak into the girl dorms. Asked Sero to neutralize him after I stunned the thing"
"Oh" Izuku mouthed, carefully making his way past the cocoon and towards one of the couches.
"Hello Midoriya! Were you able to settle in alright?" Iida asked as he sat down next to the class rep."Yep! Everything is in place" Izuku smiled.
"I still can't believe we'll actually be living together! I'm so excited!" Mina squealed.
"In order for us to live together, there should be some ground rules!" Iida exclaimed, standing up as Momo entered the room with some tea."I agree with Iida. We are responsible for this dormitory and need to treat it and its fellow residents with respect" she stated. Some people whined and groaned at that, complaining about ruining their first night at the dorms with a list of rules. It was all very basic stuff though. Things like 'Don't take anyone's stuff without asking' and 'Always leave the common areas clean after you use them'.
Izuku was sure some of the rules were already unspoken, but reminding everyone where their boundaries were wouldn't cause any harm. After the rules were called out, people fell back into regular conversation.
"Oh my God, yes!" Mina squealed, staring at the screen of her phone, earning the attention from the class. She shot up from her seat and bounced towards the front door.Kirishima quickly went after her after glancing at his own phone. Izuku frowned, looking over the couch to see what the commotion was about. That question was answered the moment Ashido opened up the front door and was met with a ruby red glare.
"Bakubro!" Eijirou smiled, instantly hugging his friend. Katsuki didn't try to stop him, nor struggle in his hold. He simply let it happen.
